Thinking about getting a TL-S...

It's a little pricey, but it should still be under full acura warranty for another year correct? 2008 w/ 32k miles.

Also: How bald do these tires look ? Tires are SO expensive that I want to make sure I don't get screwed w/ that expense right away - I am not a tire expert at all.

Thanks guys.

There's lots of tread left on that tire. You can see the wear indicator in the lower left of the photo in the nearest wide grove. Nothing wrong with that tire at all. (2nd Wear indicator visalbe on the 2nd wide grove in as well)

I agree- tire in that picture looks fine.

Asking price? Got any pics of the car or a link to the car?

If you like the price, do it and don't look back.

Car looks pretty clean - no mods. Seats look a bit worn, front and rear both, but not too bad. Looks like it needs a careful interior detail to get rid of the bit of residual crumbs/dust/grime.

Make sure the brake pads on the front are in good condition - at least 1/2 life left, preferably near new.

That car looks nice great color combo CBP was one of my first pics but I ended up getting nighthawk black 6spd 08.

The tire in that picture looks almost like new. Thats good because your right those OEM tires are not cheap. I like the car to have OEM tires as well, not some cheap no namers which you see a lot of times.

I say go for it!!!

That is a good price, I just got an 07 with 31k miles for 24.4, so you are paying a little more for it being a year newer. Are those the stock tires? Those look like the tires that come on the non Type S model. I thought the stock 17s were Goodyear Eagles. Not sure what the 18's come with but am pretty sure they are summer tires and those in the pic are certainly not summers.

They look like stock tires. Stock on the TL-S are Michelin Pilot HX MXM4, 93W (?), 245/35-17.

They are generally unliked since they do no one thing (except maybe wear life) very well. They're certainly NOT a "sporty" tire. They rank new the bottom of the Tire Rack users survey for their category (23rd of 28) and cost a staggering $269 each (that's easily $300+ after taxes, fees, mounting, etc).

At that price, a complete rip-off. Especially considering you can get what many would consider better tires for $100+ less per tire.

Go for it! I just traded my 04 SSM 6 speed for 08 WDP Type-S with 13k miles. Got the deal of the century. $27.5k OTD including 7 year/100k bumper to bumper and powertrain coverage. I'm loving it!

Including trade-in ??? That seems insane. I feel like my deal will be a rip off if that's the case....I'm assuming I just get the factory deal...

and I chickened out buying the car. The leather scared me....and I didn't want to get screwed with bad brakes. How do I check the brake pads ?!

I like everything about the car, just wish it had darker leather

Nothing wrong with that. You want to be sure when you shell out that kind of cash. Just be patient, the right one will be around soon enough. Good luck.

Yeah, I hope so.

Just wanted to check though - The Acura STOCK warranty will be good for 4 years after the Acura TL was put into the lease, correct ? 4 years or 50k miles ?

That's a large basis for my decision, but I wasn't sure how a used vehicle worked - even the dealer says "50% warranty for 30 days"...(not sure why they would say that if the acura warranty still counts)

The mfg warranty is 4/50k miles from the day the car went into service. A CPO should have warranty until 100k miles.

Ah ok, yeah this is definitely NOT CPO. This is from a random other dealer...all the CPO's are around this price for a base TL with even more miles !!

I would definitely negotiate a rear bumper repaint into the deal.

It's tough to not get excited and miss things when buying a new car! Bring along someone with a discerning eye and don't let anyone rush you. It's even a good idea to send someone to the dealership without you and act like they're interested in the car, so they can look it over.

Well I went back and they had already completely fixed that bumper, that's why I didn't notice the problem.

Needless to say, I bought the car..!
