Well, I put two coats of Zaino on my car. Here is the hood of the car. With my car being so new there was no wax on it so I didn’t use the dawn. Didn’t use the clay bar because the whole car was still smooth to the touch. I will take more pics when my camera charges back up. Peace.

Is there any strong advisory against skippning the clay bar?? I'm just too lazy and I hear that step is really a pain. Also, I know everyone always asks what products to use...however, I will ask again... which did you use to get these great results? Thanks

Well I used ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive, Z-2 Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes and Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray. I didn’t do they clay bar either because I am a lazy ass. Personally I don’t think the car needed it. The car is so new and the finish was so smooth that I just said fuk it.

Claying is really easy.
Wash the car, leave it wet.
Use some clay and lube and then wash the car again. It's worth it if you're going to use Zaino.
Anywayz,.. Nice Job !!

Clay bar is recommended even on a new car from the rail dust. You would be suprised if you calyed the car now how much grime and stuff comes off. Clay bar isn't that big of a pain, just takes a while because the piece isvery small. Zaino all the way. takes longer, but looks 1,000x's better and lasts longer.

I have to admit -- Zaino is amazing stuff. I have an anthracite TL, and I wasn't expecting the results to be as nice as on black cars, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I washed with Dawn, did the clay bar, Z7 wash, Z2 polish, Z6 spray, Z2 polish, and Z6 spray. It was time consuming, but worth it...

Yeah I'd clay it. The cars are not shipped from the factory in sealed containers, so by the time you get them they've already travelled a couple of thousand miles on trucks and trains - plenty of chance to get dirt on them.
I did the whole Dawn, clay, Z7, Z2, Z6 thing.
When I did my old car, the Clay certainly did more; but I really believe that claying the new car was necessary too.
The other way to think about this is that all the polish stuff does is reflect the paint job underneath them. You want the paint to be as perfect as possible. The clay makes the paint as perfect as it's gonna get.

It is ALWAYS worth it to clay and Dawn - even a brand new car. You don't know what has gotten on it during transfer, OR what the dealer may have put on.
EVEN SO - it looks just awsome! I LOVE Zaino, will never go back to waxing.

I clayed mine when it was 55 out & the clay (Zaino) was hard, despite constantly working it. Because the clay wasn't soft enough for the particles it picked up to sink into the clay, they stayed on top & caused a few faint scratches...
Anyway, it's a lot of work & for a brand new car probably not needed (the local Zaino distributor checked my car, said it was already smooth enough & thought I didn't need to buy the clay, but perfectionist me did it anyway ).

Nice
Dude, those pics are awesome.
i've never used the Zaino, but question for you guys. did you also wax up the plastic parts (i.e. front and back bumper) as well as the metal surfaces? if so, was this necessary?

I too would recommend claying the car first. Put your finger into a plastic sandwich baggy and rub it on the car when it is wet. You will feel all sorts of grit on there. The clay will remove it.
It also can't hurt to put a few coats of Z5 on first and then switch over to the Z2. If you ever washed your car before you Zainoed it, you would already have minor sworls from the towel or wash mitt. The Z5 will help cover up the minor ones and the Z2 would look that much better.
Looking good though, wait til you get a few more coats on it, it gets a little better after that.
