I've been a member here since 2003, but lost touch, then just now got back in this forum to check out if there is anything new. I did a search but came up nothing on transmission differences & swapping transmission. My car still has the 03 design tranny. I'm sure Acura progressively change design or updated the tranny year after year on the auto transmission from 04, 05, 06, 07, 08. Question - Can the tranny from the later year 08, 07 just easily bolt onto the older year TLs? like to the 04? I'm just curious cause I'm thinking if my tranny goes dead I'm planning to swap it to from a later year TLs. Any input appreciated.

 

nope, change in trans for the 3G at 06.. 04-06 won't mate with an 07-08, and vice versa.
