Thanks for everyone's help

I've had my '06 TL w/ nav (anthracite/ebony/auto) for about a year now with about 20,000 miles. My wife is about 5 months pregnant and realizing how expensive the cost of having a baby is along with daycare, I made the decision to trade in the TL.

Even though I got a good deal on the trade-in, I was still a little upside down on the loan. I ended up getting a less expensive '07 Honda Civic EX sedan (manual). I just needed a car that can take me to-and-from work. My wife will have her car paid off in the next couple of months, so the ultimate goal is to get a nice sport util. for the wife and use that as the family car.

The TL will be missed. Although, I am surprisingly pleased with the solid build quality of the civic. No rattles and hopefully it'll be problem free.

Just wanted to say that this website has been tremendously helpful. All of my questions and problems have been addressed by someone on the site. Thanks again.

My friend has a new civic. Drove to phoenix and back in it... it's surprisingly solid. No rattles, very quiet at highway speeds, amazingly refined engine... kind of makes me wonder why his car that's half as expensive as mine has 20 times better build quality.

You'll enjoy the civic!

Nice to see someone put family first.

Once the little one(s) are grown up, you might be able to come back. Enjoy them, the time goes by all too fast.

On another note...my uncle did the same thing....when my cousins turned 18...there was more financial freedom for my uncle and his wife...

so they ended up with a sports coupe...a G35 coupe that is...

that day will come for you too hopefully dude.... maybe u dun even have to wait till ur son/daughter is 18!!! =)

I just put a little over 1000 miles on it this past weekend and I've been pleasantly surprised with it. Of course it's not even in the same class as the TL, I've been really happy because the build quality seems to be solid. Because I already had the XM subscription for the year, I bought a small radio (Sportscaster) and wired that up. One thing I really enjoy is the manual transmission. It's my fourth week and I'm far from being an expert, but I love it. Driving has become fun and engaging. Hopefully, when I get this paid off, I'll use it as a down-payment for a new TL, definitely a manual this time.
