I just had my car worked on and I was thinking about what you guys were saying. Everyone infront of my got a tsx regardless of what car they were having work done on, one of them as an even an mdx they were all much older than me too. Everybody a got tsx for a loan. So i asked the guy and he said that they use those because they are cheaper to insure.

I dont think Acura has a loaner policy where it states what kind of loaner you will get. I know most either rent you a crappy rental or they actually have some acura's avialable, so it varies dealer to dealer. I know Infiniti has a set policy where you are suppose to get atleast a G35 Sedan.

Hmm...this is pretty interesting to hear about the dealers. I take my TL-S to the dealer and they always loan me an Acura vehicle everytime. And I was only 19 at the time I started getting loaners during service. I guess they have no idea on my age? lol

My sister is 22 and got a TSX loaner pretty much every time she took her car in for service.

Hi.. atleast my car is getting fixed hehe
I hate to admit it, but I agree with the dealership on this one. As a business strategy, this makes sense.

Bearcat94 makes a very valid point. I would adopt and implement the same policy if I had a dealership.

In Canada it is different.

Car dealerships have a few acura loaners but rest of the loaners are outsourced to a rental car company.

It makes sense financially for acura dealers.

Why have many cars for loaners when they can sell em?

I got an 07 honda civic as a loaner....wasn't happy but atleast it is ok.

When I had my TL, I got a loaner 4 times from ages 22 - 24 & never had any problems. This thread is the first time I've ever heard of it.
