I just want to thank everyone that has posted forums. I took my TL in for A1 service and look at 4 things wrong with the vehicle. 1) Whining sound from under the hood when accelerating around 2500 rpm 2) Brakes vibrate when braking 60 mph + 3) Rattle in visor clip 4) Rattle in rear deck . The whining sound has been going on for about 2000 miles and I took previously and the technician could not hear it or find anything wrong. So I just said fine, I'll take it in next time. They had my car for a week for some other issues. Well this time I requested to go on a road test with a technician and again the technician could not hear anything. My service advisor said they could not duplicate the sound. I told them it is there and I want it fixed. Then I mentioned this forum and how some 04-05 TL owners had the same problem and how it was fixed. The service advisor from Stevens Creek Acura, Chris Reiger, said go ahead and fax it and he'll look at it. Anyhow, because of this forum they replaced the heat shield and the whining sound is gone. I'd also like to thank Chris Reiger for making sure everything else was fixed on my car. I got new brakes and rotors and my rattles are fixed. He also comped my A1 service because it took 4 days to get my car back. Saved me 75.00 Well thank you again guys for all your input.
