Such a bad day. To leave the parking lot of our school you exit the student parking lot and a two way stop sign is present. One is for the students leaving the parking and the other is for the parents leaving after picking up their kids.

So I am at my stop sign and none of the parents follow the other stop sign they just closely follow one another so the road is always blocked for us . After the 8th car that passed me I started forcing my way in and this black Mercedes C300 was at the other stop sign so as I am making my way in.... the dude in the C300 floors his car and cuts around me and stops right in front of me. Some 60 year old man with sunglasses on (its cloudy here) thinking he is all hip and cool with his 08 C300.

Anyway I just look at him with a wtf look and he starts laughing. I just give him the finger (I am pretty pissed at this point) and he rolls his window down "WHAT WHAT" starts screaming at me. He said he would beat the shit out of me and calls the TL a piece of shit. LOL.

I calmly ignored him. Btw his car was bought from a local "Luxury" car dealer that sells cars to people who can't afford nice cars and have terrible credit.

Fast forward to 20 min later I go to the store to get a drink real quick and I park far away.

|X|/| |. The X is where my car is parked when I came back some idiot parked a honda oddesy so close to my car I still can't believe I did not get a ding. So I can't back out since the van is so close to me....so I try and its a no go so I put it in drive and I slowly go up and scrape my car on the parking divider.

Now I have some serious scratches under my bumper....all thanks to this guy who does not know how to park. I have never ever done that and I laugh at people who rash up the bumpers....I am used to cars as low as the TL so .

 

It could have been worse...at least you didn't crack the bumper.

No one does but I like to keep my cars flawless...none of my other cars have any damage under the bumper.

Just a mini-rant about it: I, who am a 26 year old petite woman was driving down a side road and was cut off by a jerk in a C300 who then stalled out in front of me. I passed him, honked and gave the finger (real ladylike ;-))

He proceeded to chase me down the wrong side of the road, slam his car in front of mine so I couldn't pass him and get out and threaten my life at my drivers side door while acting like a lunatic and bumping my car with his body. I know I have tints, but clearly he saw I was a woman as my window was down. If it weren't for a passing motorist who literally pulled him off my car, he probably would have assaulted me. Classy man...

So, forgive the C300 drivers...clearly they're not the epitome of class. I'll call it jealousy!

By the way, I scrape my "under" bumper all the time. The sound it emits is far worse than any actual damage, which isn't even visible.

don't feel bad man, i installed the aspec kit a few weeks ago and a few days ago i pulled into a driveway to turn around, and scraped the bottom lip.

it sucks, but it is minimal and nobody will ever see it.

 

well isnt C300 the "CHEAP CLASS???" maybe thats why they are so pissed off since they cant afford the next inline which is where the real luxury experience begins....

 

Since, we're telling bumper scrape stories....

I had just gotten my TL and park it in the garage. My dad has a Harley and was parked in the corner. One day, I was trying to back out, I couldnt cut my wheel far enough to clear a car behind me and OOF.

 

That sucks! I would have taken his plate down and reported him.

This guy was obviously going through his midlife crisis...thought a C300 would spice up his life LOL. I am not generalizing but many drivers in the low level luxury cars (Lexus IS, Acura TSX, BMW 3 series, Mercedes C Class) think they are the shit because they think they are above the law because of their "luxury car".

When I heard the sound my heart sank . It was terrible. But like many have said what can you do?

+1. The dealer tags that were on the car is from a local dealer that sells "luxury" cars to people with bad credit. 99% of these people can't even afford the payments. That same dealer also has a repo business.

This old loser was already causing problems before my run in with him... rather then pull into the pick up area for his kid...he just stopped on the road and started causing traffic "jam". I see him everyday I can't wait until Monday...lets see what he does.

 

The bottom of my front bumper has some scrathes on it. Can't really see it unless you got your head on the ground.

The underside of my front, side, and rear pretty much have scrapes and scratches on it. Even prior to it being lowered, I still managed to scrape it due to the poor visibility inside this car, especially the rear window.

 

I scrap my bumper each and every day when I leave my work parking lot....doesn't bother me.

 

You have a 528i and TL in high school... You need to build a bridge and get over this. I want to know if you bought those cars with your money or if mommy and daddy bought them for you!

 

Don't worry about the bumper, mine is scraped to shit but the only time I notice is when I was down there or the car is up on a jack. Invisible from anywhere else.

 

I keep a can of pepper spray in my center console for dealing with road rage types. Yell and scream and gesture all you like but if you touch me or my car your day will get a whole lot worse in a hurry.

I commute daily with my TL. Rock chips and the occasional curbing (whoops) make my day a little worse but I get over it eventually.

You'll drive yourself crazy being so paranoid about your car.

i scrape my bumper and exhaust tips on every slight incline and decline. there are more important things to be worrying about than some scratches.

get it repainted if it pains you that much.

 

i scraped my bumper and it did piss me off the first time i did it, but after doing it 3 more times it doesnt bother me too much ... i may get it repainted soon due to all the rock chips so hopefully i wont scrape it again, but most likely will :/

 

Meh, it's all part of car ownership. Nothing is perfect in life either so you've just gotta accept it and move on!
