Tec-Toyz LEDs?
Has anyone purchased anything from Brian at Tec-Toyz lately?
I bought bulbs back in the spring and had a couple problems with them and he was quite helpful at the time.
One of my rear plate bulbs began to flicker and he told me to send it back and attach my e-mail to it and he'd send a replacement. Since I sent them back I've heard nothing- he hasn't return my e-mails- and haven't gotten anything back. This was several weeks ago.
Is this guy still around?
thanks!

I had the same issue. with my plate lights. they finally burnt out. I sent them to him and he sent me replacements. since then I kept regular bulbs in there. I think the problem is when you lock the car with the remote the plate lights flicker.

His service is great but dont expect the bulbs to last very long. They look great so I've just accepted the dimming/flickering bulbs and have bought new ones from him every couple months or so.

White LEDs have 3 different types.
1. white hue
2. purple hue
3. blue hue
Brian sent me White leds with purple hue in them, which i hated. so he sent me a white one but it took like 3 weeks. he had to wait for different batch to come in..

Is there no LED alternative?
Had SuperBright 9 WLED's in the plate. One started to flicker about a month ago.
Swapped in spare 12 WLED's I had left over. Now one of them flickers.
These are supposed to have a 10,000 hour life. That's well over 1 OPERATING year. I've had 'em maybe 4 months.
What's the current best License Plate LED - Cool White color, decent illumination, long-lasting NO FLICKER operation?
(yeah, yeah, I know - old thread - but it was the closest I found to what I want to know.)

For license plate lights you should be going with the 1 watt LEDs, the other LEDs that Kennedy has suggested or doing the cold cathode tube mod like I did. Most of us using these alternatives have whiter, brighter light and no problems with flicker or burnout.

Thanks rocky. Didn't find that thread, but I've seen the threads on the better/newer LED's. No CC for me.
I'll probably change everything out late spring/early summer.
If it keeps flickering, I'll double check the contacts.
