Camel would be nice..........but mustard camel? Yuck!
Not having the ebony interior available in some colors make those colors unacceptable choices. Nuff said.

That's actually my least favorite...my dad's car has really dark leather, and it always looks dusty/dirty etc...It shows all the wear too, and the cars only 2 years old.

Also, I think darker interiors tend to feel more closed in, and make the interior feel much smaller...that's just me though

I haven't actually seen Camel in person, but I love it in pics. I like the parchment too.

By any chance, is that orangy tan color interior that's in the MDX and Pilot the Camel, or is that a different color alltogether?

Personally I feel no need to "defend" the Camel interior. Some say it's orangy, others say it's not. Some say the color has changed since October, others say it hasn't. Really, I just don't give a fuck. And I'm not saying that to be rude or funny or anything. I just don't know why people worry so much about other people's opinions of the colors they choose. Especially strangers on an Internet forum. I like the Camel. I think it looks great with the Anthracite. Others hate it. Hey, it's a big country. There's room for all of us and our 44,000 TLs.

Krg - Not at all directed at you. Not directed at anyone.

It was a general comment, one which I've made in other threads though I don't know why I waste the "breath" to say it. I just think it's crazy that people come to this forum and start a thread like, "Silver or Green? Help Me Decide!" I mean, really, what sort of self-respecting person asks strangers to make up their mind for them? You wanna ask your spouse or best friend or someone you know? Sure, that's reasonable. But worrying about what the "population at large" will think of you is not only shallow it's also pathetic.

If I wanted Desert Mist with Quartz (I know they don't make that combo) and pinstripes to boot, if I really liked how that looked (I don't ) I wouldn't give a flying fuck whether anyone else on this forum agreed or not. I might care what my spouse thought, but as I said, IMO that's different.

Besides, this is taste in cars we're talking about, not your political opinion of abortion or something else important. Some people think they have cornered the market on good taste. Bullshit.

I think it's great that you like the Camel, 'cause I agree it's a great color. But even if you hated it, I'd still say, Good luck to you and your Mom with your TL negotations - and enjoy the car!

Heh...thanks

I don't really care what people think either...I drive an ugly car (according to some people)...but I wanted something a little different, so I picked a Saturn ION...yes, the Civic is a Honda, but it's so damn common. (no offense to anyone who likes them)

I'm getting anxious about tommorow. This is the most exciting car purchase my parents have made (if they get the TL)...My mom's not gonna be able to drive her own car as long as i'm around

Krg - Oh, you hadn't mentioned "parents" before...or if you had, my apologies, I missed it. If Dad is involved, what makes you think Mom, or you for that matter, are ever going to get to drive this car? Dad will be off like a bat out of hell, and you'll be stuck in the "soccer mom" minivan with Englebert Humperdink crooning on the local easy listening station.

Don't know if I mentioned "parents" before...

My mom and I have been the ones doing the shopping because i'm on spring break right now....my dad's been at work.

But, surprisingly...my dad likes the TL the least out of us all. He doesn't care for imports...he's more of an American Musclecar kinda guy. He's already decided he wants a Corvette for his next car.

I know...bad taste in cars. What can you do?...lol

Here's a link to many 04 TL's including those with Camel interiors:

http://www.cardomain.com/member_page..._by=&year=2004

Here's a link to a Yahoo! search for 2004 Acura TL:

http://images.search.yahoo.com/searc...l=1&vl=lang_en

Also, do a search for "anthracite camel" on these forums and you'll get more links to 'em.

Ditto here, and I even received two compliments from a TL quartz driver *and* a TL ebony driver of the "damn, I wish I considered camel when I bought my TL" variety.

Today I parked next to another anthracite TL that had a quartz interior. When I came back out to my car, the other TL's owner was drooling over my camel interior. That and the navi. Why anyone would skip the navi is a mystery to me.

Sounds like a Queer Eye for the Straight Guy show.. except now it's on interior color schemes.

I am stunned at how many people who ride in my car like the Camel color. I had Parchment in my CL, and I wanted something a bit different, but I do not like dark interiors.
It is a bit orange, but it grows on you, and in the evening, it looks very nice.

Last month Cerritos Acura had all color combo's on their lot. I compared them all and choose NBP and Camel.

It's the most impressive looking interior. Very professional and formal.

Now I just need my windows tinted at Wintech in Costa Mesa and I'll be set.

Team Camel?!? Sign me up!!!

Hey everyone....

I've had my '05 TL Anthracite/Camel for a little over a month now.... I've gotten tons of compliments on the color combo and even some longing stares from other TL owners on the road, wishing they had forgone black or gray, which are good looking in their own right, but IMO, not as rich or sophisticated as camel.

I've only done a few mods, but my favorite is the blue LEDs in the doors.... There just something about seeing them light up the camel interior at night that just looks great! Add the 2 blue LEDs in the overhead and you can't beat the way the interior looks.

Here are a few pics of my baby......

I am SO sorry to hear that. How'd that accident happen? Have you found a support group for it yet? :-P

There's this old old lady at work with a camel/wood acura. She looks like she ought to be driving a coffin though. SSM/Quartz hereand all the navi / audio menus match very nicely to my interior...
