TB Choices

I got the A124 code when I pulled in for an oil change today. I called around for dealer prices on a TB change. Here's what I got:

Dealer 1, $995
Change TB, water pump, tensioner, drive belt

Dealer 2, $695
Change TB, water pump, replace crankshaft seal, top off coolant and a bunch of other non-essentials like wash car, multi-point inspection, etc. I asked abouit the tensioner and that'll be an extra $115.

I've seen a post where a whole lot more was changed, like tensioner pulley, idler pulley, etc.

Which would you choose: 1, 2 or go with an independent and get the works?
Thanks

I would keep checking (include a Honda dealer). Check the independent as well.

The Honda dealer I went to to get the oil changed told me to call the Acura dealer. I was shocked to hear that

Do it yourself. Honda makes it very easy to do a timing belt job.

Even if its your first one. 2 days in a driveway with basic hand tools.

I can do a Honda v6 complete timing belt in a crappy driveway with very basic tools in less than 8 hours.

Use the money you save in labor charges to buy your own tools.
