I want to make sure the car is in tip top shape for this drive. I am not only driving there from SA, TX but I will be driving down to Georgia and drive the Dragons tail as well. Plus spending a week in Nashville driving all over. I expect around 3-4k miles total put on the car in 1.5 weeks.

Car has 36400 miles on it.

Basically what I have done so far is:

New Air Filter
New Tires (6k miles ago)
Tire Pressures all around 35-36psi
New front pads 300 miles ago
Flushed brake fluid with Motul 600 (3k miles ago)
Oil and Filter change the week before I leave with Synthetic
NoseMask purchased for the trip to protect the front end

Anyone have any suggestions on other things to look for?

Take an empty 1 liter Coke/Pepsi bottle

I would say maybe give it a wash/wax & wax to give some extra protection.

When's the last time you did anything with tranny fluid?

Pledge furniture polish the nose- makes bugs wipe right off,,we do that on the airplane wings leading edge (painted metal) and windshield (plastic)

as said, wash and wax it - clean cars get less police attention

I drive from CT to FL and back every year, and here is what I do......

~Change the oil and filter with full syn.
~Fill with premium.
~Go.
~Drink Redbulls and Iced Coffee.
~Piss a lot.

EDIT: Oh and I clean the hell out of it before I go. No one likes to road trip in a dirty car.

Definitely a requirement. I prefer wide mouth Mt Dew 1 liter bottles...

You'll be in my home town of Franklin TN then. Nissan HQ is right off I65 and McEwen. RainX the shit out of your windshield...Seriously. Its the only thing that helped me with my drive from Nashville to Phoenix. Where are you staying at? If you want some back roads to hit to test the twisties let me know. Ill be back out there in September for a visit.
