Mine arrived two days ago. Ordered them for shits and giggles. The quality is real good. Remember when these CDM tails were "$495"?

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/2004-2008-acura-tl-chinese-domestic-market-tail-lights-727824/

I do have a question on the bulb size. Is it not 7440/7443? The prong holes look different IIRC.

I should go pick mine up from the FedEx store.... Is there a protrusion on the turn signals?

CDM tails are suppposed to have a potrusion, as confirmed by KB1 [originator of the CDM tails].
7440 have the same socket as a 7443. Everything is the same, even... the only difference is in the bulb. A 7443 will have 4 contacts while a 7440 will only have 2. I can confirm this as I have burned switchback 7443s in my rear tails as my rear-turn-signal-bulbs.

I was right! The prongs holes for these CDM tails are different than those of our standard tails (base, type-s, etc). The prong holes for our standard tails have 4 prongs evenly spread apart. The prong holes for the CDM tails also have 4, but 2 of them are closer together. I'll need a different socket...

Does anyone know the size?

I didn't install mines yet, but my brother did. He said he used a dremel to get bulb to lock in.

I just did a search of every single one of KB1Specs threads regarding the CDM tails and not a single one address the difference in bulb size. What's funny is that he mentioned it was a 'direct fit'. It is definitely not 7440 and ciroqboy can attest to the difference in bulb size.

someone has done a write up on how to do so.. either justn, swoosh or jayvee. I think jayvee. from what i can recall, you will need a dremel tool to remove a small knuckle on the housing that allows you to change tails in like 10 minutes.. but, i'm probably wrong..

I just loosened the wheel well, and pulled back enough to reach the tail light bolts

Wow these are cheap! I've wanted to mod tails for a while but never wanted to go with DEPO. But $130 for OEM parts...

I think I like everything but the vertical reflector.

NBP the bezels. Smoke the turn signals. Remove clear diffuser. Hmmmm!

to be honest I don't really see what the big deal is, yea they are rarer but nothing special, JNC and Bruce basically made the CDM tails and any other OEM or Depo setup obsolete since they can make anything u want basically. I still feel that the '07-'08 stock or type-s tails are the best looking of the OEMs, I'm really not feeling the clear turn signals but that's just my opinion

Well, looks like the seller realized $85 was a little cheap. So, now he raised the price to $300.

i just saw that too, they are only a 2 hr drive from me and ill be going up that way in a cpl weeks, i may have to stop by there shop (if they have one) and check them out and see if I can get a pair for a cheaper price. They don't look to bad, but yea i don't know if i like them on a SSM (which i have) maybe they have to grow on me, but im still set on the type S oem if i can find a pair that isn't outrageously priced

I'm sporting the Type-S tails, but I love clear turn signals so you can use an amber bulb. For whatever reason I've never like red turn signals.

I do think the all clear Depo tails would look good on a SSM from here:

I believe an acura dealer in NY sell em for $215 no led board. So I'd guess 300 is high used, but I'm no expert

Well led units run around $120 a piece. A pair of type s taillights are $215. So for $450 you can get brand new taillights and led boards. Depending on the condition of the taillights he's selling, I'd almost rather spend an extra $150 for brand new stuff, but that's just me.

I sell the new tails for $205 and used LED boards for $50 each so $300 can get you used mint all working LED boards and brand new tail lights..

I remember I used to mod these for an handful of members here. I do believe buying it as is on ebay is better than having someone modding it for you. I remember I charge members here $400 JUST on labor. The member have to buy 2 set of the TL tail lamp. 1 set for the 04-06 and 1 set for the 07-08. The member have the option to have all clear tail or smoke tail or signal is clear and brake is red.

It added up to be like a $600 to $700 modded tail lamp. Trust me the deals on the CDM is worth the price if someone likes to have that look.
