Tail light tint question
Hey everyone,
I'd like to tint my '08 tail lights, using something similar to blue batmobile's overlays that will keep the white section un-tinted, but I don't want something quite that dark. Below are photos of them stock and the tint that I'd like.
P.S. I have TL-S sidemarkers now...it looks weird in the pics with the red ones...
Anyone know what percentage film I should aquire to complete that look?

I was also considering swapping the red section over the blinker with a clear section removed from 04-06 tail lights, so that all 2 sections that turn red with light would remain clear. I've seen the section swapped out in TL-S headlights, creating an effect like CDM tail lights. (I can't chop that, I'm not that good with PS. ANyone feel free to attempt.) Does anyone know if that part is removable like in the TL-S lights, or is it one integrated piece with all the rest of the red?
Thanks for your help! I'll take photos and document the process if I opt to remove the blinker section.

HA! I figured photoshop out! This is what they would look like...I like it
Now I just need to know if it's possible. I guess I could be the guinea pig, but it would suck to cut open the lights just to find out that that red part isn't removable...grrrrr Anyway, here are the pics!

Ok...well to bump my own thread here, I investigated my tail lights with a magnifying glass this afternoon...it appears that the corner pieces on the tails are infact seperate, so I'm going to go ahead and abandon my tinting project and do this instead in the upcoming weeks.
I will however NOT do this on my tail lights. I can get a pair of DEPO 07-08 Base tails for about $130 shipped. I'll also try to get a pair of 04-06's off the BM or a wrecked pair from a junk yard. Update when I make more progress.

Yeah, I saw it done on the TL-S tai lights, but I didn't know if this would be different on the base. The TL-S looks like smoked chrome bezels holding in red lenses. I wasn't sure if this was a red bezel with red lenses, or one giant red piece.
