Switchblade issues

The switchblade key for my 07 TL-S has been on the fritz. It works fine at times and not at all other times. The red light still blinks whenever I push a button - which makes me think it's not a battery issue. Plus I've only had the car for 9 months. You would think the battery would last longer than that. Anyone had a similar issue?

It could be the battery. It takes much less juice to light up that little light then to transmit a good signal to the car. I would start with a new battery before going any further.

it should not be dead by now. I use my remote everyday for the past year and it still works strong. You may just be too far away from the car, the range sucks for the remotes. A trick i learned here is open up the key, and hold the key to your chin, then unlock/lock, it works from farther away.

You are under warranty. Why not swing by the dealer?
