Switchbacks and rear LED's/suggestions

Hello All,
I am looking at the autolumination 60/60 switchback bulbs as Vleds does not offer 7443 switchbacks anymore but they offer this:

V3 TRITON 6K WHITE AMBER SWITCHBACK MULTI-APPLICATION HIGH POWER LED LIGHT SYSTEM 7443

Anybody have any experience with any of the two?

And does anybody have suggestions on where to look for rear turnsignal leds-are they visually better then stock bulbs?

Thanks-ib

wow $100 for turn signals. I heard autolumination sucks from a few people, with "swoosh" being one of them.

I have Ebay switchbacks from kaixen motors. they are 60 led, 30white 30amber. they now have 120led on Ebay now. 80 white, 40 amber

I would just go with an eBay brand. I use regular amber led's in my front turn signals and red led's in my rear turn signals, both from eBay and they work just fine. No need to pay an excessive amount for these types of lights.

I have seen the 120 LED switchbacks from ebay twice (on darknites car, and tl seths car).
They are super bright. Its crazy how bright they are. I would even say they are a lot brighter than my autolumination 120 amber leds, which i paid a crazy price for.

I highly recommend the ebay 120 led switchbacks.
I have some pictures of them i may post up.

I'm thinking about trying those V3 Tritons. They are expensive but remember, you get what you pay for. They use high quality Philips 3 watt LEDs in a bulb with optics that's actually designed to use the reflector, unlike all the rest. I have some (admittedly older) 60 SMD switchbacks now and they are barely adequate in brightness, you can't even really see them during the day.

Ok don't bash me, and this is probably a bad question buuuuut... Switchbacks? I'm assuming by the name these are the lights that turn bright for the backup camera and then some other color for out of reverse mode?

^ these are turn signal led bulbs that would light up white with your park lights and then the other leds on the same bulb will turn orange for signal. Hope this helps

Hey All.

How many load resistors and type are used for front and rear turnsignal leds. Vleds says when using (2)led bulbs use (2)6ohm/50watt load resistors. When using (4)led bulbs use (2)3ohm/50watt load resistors. I'm no electronics expert but this seems backwards and probably because- like I said "novice".

And if using only (2)resistors for (4)led bulbs where is the best location to install?

Thanks, ib

I've got the AutoLumination switchback bulbs. It took a few sets before I got some that didn't burn out. I think the 120 LED's are too bright and too much for the system-they'll burn out quickly. I've got the 48's in now and have not had a problem with them for quite a while.

^ There's no such thing as too bright. The autoluminations bulbs are just low quality and fail, the 120 LEDs still don't draw as much power as the stock bulbs.

V-leds has 92 led switchbacks for 40 bucks. I think its a pretty good deal.

To me it seems like they are pushing the new Triton systems and their regular led bulbs are much cheaper now.

I bought mine in 6k and they were just shipped. They must be in stock now
