Suspension Question

Has any found that when you press the car on undulating pavement the TL bottoms and tops its suspension?

I've pressed it pretty hard on Mulholland Dr, Topanga Canyon and Hwy 41 to Yosemite and did not experience this despite forcing drifts. Ther were places I was 9/10ths. That's over the top for a public road. These roads weren't smooth but I experienced no topping or bottoming. I have bottomed an IS300 on 41.

C&D did not report this.

My car is a 6MT with F1s.

Sorry for the obvious sign of naivete, but how do you know if you're topping or bottoming out?

The only thing thats bottomed out is C/D's car reviewing skills. I have never in >20 years had a Honda vehicle bottom out its supension. Please notice that many of those years were in PR where potholes have been known to eat buses. The notion of bottoming out the TL's supension is essentially rudiculous. I think the guy that tested the TL in C/D was driving a KIA optima and got his names screwed up! On the other hand I've owned various ford and chevy products where you could buttom the suspension if you sneezed too hard! Lore, bottoming out is the bumping crash you hear from your suspension when it runs out of travel (completely compressed spring hitting the strut tower). It frequently happens in softly sprung (mostly american) cars. If you have never felt it its probably because you haven't had the misfortune of owning a Chevy Citation, Ford Taurus or Mustang.
