How does an 02 TL-S stock compare to a Ford Focus....don't get me wrong I know that it blows it out of the water...but my buddy just got his focus supercharged, which brings the HP to 235ish...I'm just curious if I can still take him. His focus is an 2002 2 door hatchback, 5 MT. I assume he'll do better, but I figure I can still take him, after all its still a focus. Am I underestimating him?

 

where sare you getting 235hp from? It must have one helluv big SC pumping some serious PSI into that crappy 2.0L engine.

 

if it really has 235hp, then you won't be easy for you to beat him, 5MT and its light weight are enough to compensate for its lower hp!

yes and with only 170hp.

 

unless he has the RS model with like 225hp? But that one is supercharged. There's also a new Focus ST and it uses the Volvo turbocharged engine with 218hp...but still not supercharged...
