I know there are a few folks out there with the aspec suspension on the stock 17 wheels. I live in a pretty snowy area - one of the reasons I bought the TL. Have had a great experience so far (fingers croosed - live2.5 hours from nearest dealer). However, still not 100% sure about the handling (torque steer, little too much bobbing/body lean). I want to begin upgrades but dont want to spend $5k and still not be totally happy with the handling.

This is my plan - what do you think?

1) ASPEC suspension this summer
2) Front spoiler only this summer
3) Fall replace turanzas with winter tires (mich or pirelli...)

see how i like the car

4)18 inch summers tires spring 06 (wheels TBD ASPEC or Inspyres)
5) comptech rear stab bar summer 06

this will give me 2 sets of wheels for winter/summer

5k to spend on aspec would be insane...

the suspension is 100% worth it...it cost me $750 installed (because i did it myself or find a garage to do it...very easy job.

get the steering wheel too...it is a must have!

a different set of tires will give the car a totally improved feel...and 18's w/245's will improve it that much more



and btw...there is a sub-forum for this ...and try a search...thousands of posts about this...

Did the ASPEC suspension install this past weekend, and I agree with deandorsey, it's totally worth it. You can get the coilovers on eBay for $600. Put the CT RSB in at the same time ($95), you're already there, so it only takes about 15-20 minutes more.

I've got the full underbody kit, and IMO, the car should have it...seems off without it. However, I do know someone here has just the front lip. I'm not sure how it would look, but he might have some pics.

I would go for the suspension, the tire upgrade, and the rear sway bar. For only a hundred bucks the sway bar is well worth it. As far as you wanting the front lip, have you considered the front bumper replacement and using the one RonJon is selling? (ronjonwheels.com) I would say go for the full body kit if you are going to, I think it looks great.

deandorsey is correct - get the steering wheel. It is WELL worth it.

he doesnt sell a front lip. its the full bumper replacement. completely new kit
