Thumbs up Stupid Question...

Alright, I really wanted and 07-08 TL but couldn't justify spending the $5k + on something with more miles than my car with the only difference of non-integrated fog lights, a back up camera, steering wheel and taillights.

So the question I pose:

Can you, and has anyone purchased a fog light assembly from an 07-08 TL and installed them on an 04-06 TL? If so, where can you buy them and how much does it all cost?

The look of just fog lights is night and day, but like I said before the price between my 06 TL with 10k miles and an 07 TL with 40K miles was another $4-$5k buckaroos! So not worth it.

If anyone has pics, please post them up!

Not to burst the bubble, but there is a whole host of differences between the 07+ TL's vs. the 04-06 ones.

Regarding your question, you have to buy the accord foglights, trim the lower grilles a bit and then wire them up. Take a look in the 3G garage, and use the search function, search for bumper fogs and crate grin in the search function and you should come up with some awesome threads.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that involved... I thought it was a direct fit.

The 04-06 has the fogs integrated into the headlights. So big difference between the two types.

06+ TLs w/ Navigation have a backup camera, not just 07-08s.

then again, having the reverse cam would have been nice

lol my 05 TL is at the dealer and I've been driving a loaner 09 TSX with Nav and back up camera for a few days now....its def cool to have. I'm usually good when parallel parking anyway but having the back up cam makes it waay easier.... If the 05+ MDXs have the backup cam I too think the 05+ TLs should have had it...oh well I am still happy with my 05.

Don't really care about the fogs or the backup camera, because with patients and a simple DIY you can install your own custom fogs. Only main thing I believe is the transmission, since the 07-08 is based on the RL transmission which is better than the 04-06 (or 04-05 possibly). Tail lights look uglier than the 04-06, the wheels looks to "flashy" or ugly in easier terms, the A SPEC kit doesn't show a big difference as the type-s and the 04-06 TL. Granted it's newer with new features/updates, but not worth it. If I was ever going to look at or get a 07-08 I would look at the Type-S.

Very well said, thanks! That's exactly what I meant. The changes for the 07-08 TL's just aren't too drastic to me to spend the massive extra loot on.
