well thats about a 1500 dollar dent right on the edges of those panels and with blending paint and all. so only if you have 200 deductible will you get it fixed for that.

My guy in nj can fix this for about ~$400. Definatly not $1500 as for ~$1000 you can get a brand new bumper painted with a brand new Cf hood. I would leave bumper as is and fix it the best you can because over the years that I have been driving, the front bumper gets beat up and it doesn't look too bad. I would just fix the hood which would probably run ~$300 and Atleast put a clear coat over it before it rusts.

+1

There are plenty of places around here (upstate NY) that would do a fine job fixing that for under 5 bills.

OP, I'm your age, and that cash can probably be used somewhere else. Like insurance, for example. The damage isn't that noticeable. I'd buy a touch-up pen and do your best to cover it up, and get it repaired when money isn't an issue. GL

You need comp AND collision. Comp would not have covered this mishap.

Posts like this really aren't helping this poor kid. Body/paint work varies greatly by region, size of shop, chain, independent, custom, dealership, volume of work, slow/busy time of year, who you know, etc. It's ridiculous to say he has to spend $1500 to get this "done right".

You can bet some retard in a corolla hit your car and didnt even think twice about it
LOL That's exactly what I do! I park my car FAR AWAY from others but just last week, some jerk that doesn't know how to park properly (or doesn't know how to open his door without hitting others) left my car with a quite noticable door ding! That pissed me off considering that fact that I parked extremely far away from the rest of the peeps already!

I also saw a corolla do a hit and run on another car backing out from his stall....too bad it was too dark for me to grab his plate because he quickly sped off. These jerks need to get off the road, or if they seriously can't drive, at least get a car with a back up camera. I'm still in pain everytime I look at the ding on my car that some asshole driver left me.

dude, thats fucking weak. MY gf sometimes is like "why are you so anal about your car relax nobodoy scratched it" but she doesnt understand... sometimes i definitely come back to my car and do a full 360 out of paranoia

I dont have many nice things but shit i need to watch out for what i do already have

self protip: i always try to park next to expensive cars or brand new cars if i have to squeeze in somewhere. my hope is that the guy with the S5 cares a little more about his door than the guy with a pontiac grand prix (NO OFFENSE GRAND PRIX OWNERS, IM SURE ITS A LOVELY CAR)

dont worry, in a few years all new cars will have mandatory back up cameras courtesy of stupid new law.

what it will do: make economy cars more expensive

what it wont do: make people less retarded

Haha! I do the same! Every time I get off school and even sometimes in between classes, I do a full 360 of my car to look for any new scratches/dents/dings. If I feel like I'm parked at a unsafe spot, I might even changed to a different location. = = That's why I always notice it when new stuff pop out. I hate my passenger side door now, I just looked today and now there are not 1 but 2! 2! 2! dings. Seriously, people need to learn to respect others and learn how to use your hand to block any possible contact between the doors! Where I park, there are rarely any expensive cars. More like close to none that's why I always end up parking far away.

Ill walk for 10 mins but piece of mind is priceless :x

I agree with AckTL05

I just had my entire driver's side rear quarter panel (around the wheel well) repaired for what I thought was a pretty good price.

It was very deep scratches around the wheel well, and two small dents. I also had them paint my A-Spec kit DGP since I bought it black.

All this was 500$, and it was a quality shop that has done good work for me in the past. My car looks fresh for the time being.

bummer, I feel your pain, I purposely park in the furthest parking lot on an end spot and hug the curb about an inch from hitting the wheels, just to keep mine out of harms way. All the bimbos wont walk that far so no need to worry about door dings, and this...

Hook this kid up man! I'm up near Syracuse, so I don't see it working out with my paint guy.

Did you pm ACKTL05?

And don't go putting Bondo on it; you might make it worse and eventually it'll cost more to fix properly.
