Lexus does have an es350 unless they discontinued but the lack of dual exhaust gives that away.
And I am tired of Kia trying to make their cars look like higher end car copies.
See so many and each model copies a different car. I shake my head and laugh at the owners that think they can fit in to the 35k + car crowd when they paid less than 20k off the lot new.

I haven't actually seen the type s badge on the non type s model, but do see the honda emblem on rsx's a lot. I find it rather assinine...if you want a honda, buy a civic si. But all in all, I really don't care what other people do with their cars, if anything it is good for a laugh.
the reason u see a lot of Honda emblems on RSX's is due to the fact that they were first introduced in Japan as Honda Integras. if u didn't know already, Acura was introduced because Honda didn't think smoggy Americans would pay $30k back then for a Legend if it was labeled as a Honda.
I personally had frt&rr "H" on my 2nd gen TL, but that was only because I was bein "JDM" and thought that a Honda Inspire was a better name than an Acura 3.2TL. seriously, who doesn't wanna be Inspired?

forgot to add this. but if u have an Acura that's made in Japan as a Honda, I don't see the problem with puttin the "H" on it. if u look at numerous places on ur TL I bet that you'll see Honda plastered all over it.
for the 3rd gen, no way in hell.
Type-S on a base, only if u think it'll make u feel better about not gettin one in the first place.(this is a "no" as well from me)
lastly, if you've never looked at the "A" vs the "H", turn the "H" upside down and put the 2 bottom parts of it together and voilŕ there's ur "A"
for the 3rd gen, no way in hell.

I may or may not be 25 years older than you but my TL is bone stock. I like it that way.... why else did I purchase it? If i wanted to be an individual/be different than everyone else I would have bought a pink with purple poka dots and yellow zebra stripes Ford Camaro.... JK

I guess I just don't get why you'd want to. The whole JDM thing...meh. I mean if you bought an Acura RL, you bought an Acura RL. Not a Honda Legend. So in that sense, I think its still a bit poser-ish. "YEAH but they're the exact same car, just different badges!" Yeah, one is an RL and one is a Legend.
so, an RL is a rebadged Honda Legend, BUT a Base TL is NOT a Type S.
You can't be a POSER if you're not faking anything, so if you wanna get really technical the Acura RL that you mentioned is actually being a poser of the actual car it is, a Honda Legend.

I don't see how putting a badge on the car from what it IS before it comes to North America is being a "poser". Acuras and Hondas AREN'T different cars, they're all the same. that's what I was trying to get across.

The Legend and RL are the same cars originally. Different badges but same spec. Neither is inferring it has something the other doesn't.

But spec wise, they are the same car. Type-S has 3.5 and Base has 3.2, if you put on a badge, you are inferring that you have a 3.5.

the only point I was trying to make was that a lot of Acuras are just rebadged Hondas, which you agreed with me on.

I forgot to add in my above post that the Type S is just a different trim level of the TL. same car, different trim with different specs. such as the BMW 3-series for example. you have the 328,the 335, and the M3. all 3-series, just different trim levels with different aspects to each.

I agree with you on most aspects that they're the same car. as far as the model itself then yes they're the same. but when you get into the different sidemarkers,head&taillights,suspension,3.5 as noted by you, interior accent color and seats, & quad tips versus the base tips, then the Type S is a DIFFERENT car.

I said to turn the "H" upside down because of in the actual logo the top 2 vertical lines are longer than the bottom 2. obviously, I'm calling the top and bottom by how they're separated by the horizontal line in the letter more commonly know as "H" lol
oh, and P1zzaman it's all good bud we all have our retard moments at some point. Hell, look at how I just described what an "H" looks like. lol

Uh, this isn't a matter of having "too much of a life" or not. Some of us sit in traffic and take notice of the vehicles around us...being auto enthusiasts and all. Being observant DNE having no life.

Fella's look I'm in that 38 - 41 age range and I notice all/every single TL on the road. Really there is not a single one that I dont notice. So I dont think its an age thing, I sometime give the deuces as I drive away, but most times they dont even look my way. I get noticed more for the Prince Hall Freemason plates than anything.
Then again maybe other TL owners have noticed me also but just didnt acknowledge me. I drive down to Norfolk from DC every weekend, This one Friday I was on 301 making my way down to 17 south I came up on another TL. I did roll the windows down and found out he was going to Norfolk also. That was one the best drives I had, playing tag with another TL in and out of traffic made the drive go quickly!

RSX or RL... Sure those are Hondas in Japan and putting a Honda logo might make sense if you want to be JDM (although I personally wouldn't do it).

I think you do give a flip, one could say that supercharging a 05' TL because you're not happy with the stock performance is "schnanigans". I wouldn't spend the time and money to supercharge a front wheel drive car but's that's me... Just saying.

Oh...and supercharging the Acura....sure....waste of money. Wont hear me arguing that one. Wouldnt do it again unless I just had money to toss out the window. But that wasnt the "masses" that got me to do that...that was my own personal choice, as stock it wasnt overly zippy.

Depends on which Acura. The 3rd gen TL does not exist as an Honda. It was designed in the USA (California) and manufactured in the USA (Ohio) for the North American Domestic Market (NADM). Folks in Japan who want 3G TLs end up importing them.
RSX or RL... Sure those are Hondas in Japan and putting a Honda logo might make sense if you want to be JDM (although I personally wouldn't do it).

as for the JDM thing, it's really personal preference. I had full JDM Honda badging on my 2G TL, but that's because I wanted to be different than all the other 2Gs I saw driving around my area, and since it was made in Japan before N. America I saw no harm in throwing on the "H" and the "Inspire" badges.
I'm not trying to start a war here or anything, just trying to keep people informed of the origin of their vehicles. a lot of people on this site seem to get all upset when you try to say than an Acura is a Honda, but in the end their both made from the same company. Acura just happens to be Honda's luxury division, that's all.

Its "Pi" out a few decimal places, might be a Mensa recognition thing.
As for the whole type s logo stick-on why should anyone care? 99% of the population most likely could not even tell you what it means anyway. You see the same thing on the BMW forums with guys bitching about the sacred "M" logos being put on regular production cars.
If it makes the owner happy its his money & I don't believe its any of our business what he sticks on his car.

Hey even Honda does it. When I lived in England the NSX was a Honda NSX; so they bring it to the states & stick an Acura badge on it to move it upscale.
