These badge swappers must feel real weird when the actual car pulls up to them at a stop light.
Funny story - I'm driving down the freeway one evening heading home and I see one of the new 5-series GTs up ahead. Now, it's still a 5, so it's a nice car, but it's uglier than sin. Anyway, as I'm coming up on the car I realize it's been modded with matte black wheels...first eyeroll. Those cars are for road-tripping blue-hairs; they're not mod-worthy.
As I get closer, I realize he's changed the badge on rear hatch from "5 GT" to "M5"...well, given that I was driving an M5, my pride got the better of me. I pull up in the left lane next to him and give the car a little downshift so the V10 roars to life. He looks over at me, looks away, changes three lanes to the right and exits the freeway.

I'm against Type-S conversion on a 04-06 TL.
I don't know why poeple does it and waste money.
Just buy it if you want it that bad.

I'm not against any properly done conversions. It's the hackjobs and/or badgeswaps that people try to pass off as the real thing that I'm not a fan of. Don't slap an M3 badge on a 1995 318 hatch or slap Cobras all over a rusty foxbody in order to pass it off as something it's not.
Finally, somebody else that thinks the same way I do! I know it's something as stupid as simple badge but leave the limited editions to being just that... limited!!
It's even worse when they try and lie about it. I could care less if people add or take off badges because it's their car, but don't try and sit there and lie about it because it makes you look like a moron.
Haha that is about as functional as a sticker giving you 5 extra HP. I will say that I dispise the air vents with a passion. We can all thank pilot for that one. Debadged is the way to go hands down. Just say no to pilot badges and air vent accessories
Saw a base TL with Type S badging yesterday. And he had aftermarket wheels that had tires stretched to fit. And the rims still stuck out from the body lines. Barf.
