There are now too many 2004 TLs on the road! I don't like it, so I'm going to start spreading rumors about how the car is plagued with problems.

The worst part is, most of the cars I see are of the same color as mine: Anthracite!

STOP BUYING THE TL!

 

I feel deprived. In the NYC area I've seen a grand total of 2 so far.

 

If you want rare, trade it in on the Green one. I still have yet to see one.

I have a total of three TLs (including mine) just on our company's parking lot alone! And one of the other ones is Anthracite.

 

Have only seen 1 around these parts. Anthricite. VA. must have bought up all the TLs, thats why there`s a TL/NAVI shortage:wow:

 

so far I see 3 on my way home daily. One Nbp like mine, one white and one gold. I also occasionally see a blue driven by this georgeous lady. She is always going the opposite direction tho.

 

I live in LA, and i've only seen at most 10 04 TL's i think everyone is waiting for their Navi Models...

 

Its true they are going to sell like hot cakes if you want a unique car go for Ferrari.

 

There's gonna be tens of thousands of these on the road before it's all said and done. The bright side is that there'll be lots of parts available, and lots of shops that will know how to fix em up. Let's see some customizations if you want to make your car look unique

 

Haven't seen a TL in NH. I'm feeling special. helps when there's only 3 dealers in VT & NH

 

That is why I went with the redondo red instead of the anth.

 

I absolutely agree! Anthracite is a beautiful color, but every other new TL I see now is Anthracite!!

 

I just went with the color I liked most, and didn't worry about the rest. The salesman even told me that the anth was the most popular! After all, I don't intend to spend a whole lot of time OUTSIDE of my ride. LOL

I have seen at least one almost everyday... I hate this, too.

A few days ago, I saw a guy driving ABP and stopped aside, I checked with him, and believed he was thinking I'm just a stranger admiring him for having this great car.

After like 5 seconds, he suddenly realized I was driving the same car and starting to check out my car...

I don't know why some of TLers will become intoxicated like this, they apparently think they are the only one in the world driving this 04TL...

 

I live in DC too. Drive 20-60 miles days (salesguy)

I hardly ever see a TL. Where are you driving?

 

Hopefully, there will be another 2004 TL in the MD/DC/VA area next Saturday! The good news for DULNEV is the it will be NBP with camel! The bad news is that it is still one week away.

Boulder, Colorado is infested with TL's, and I am sure as hell not going to buy another one. Well not right away.

I am here in Arkansas and have only seen a couple. There is one NBP loaded thats at our office every morning around 730 and leaves around 530pm. This 04 TL is awesome!!!!! Oh wait...its mine...nevermind.:p

 

Just buy a can of white spray paint and spray a huge "#1" with a circle around it on both front doors. Guaranteed you'll have a truly unique TL (except of course for my anth #1 TL).

 

I saw another green TL in the parking lot of Barnes and Noble the very day I bought my green TL. It kinda sucked if you ask me.

I personally have only seen 3 in SE Mass - Silver, Red and Anthracite. I fell in love with the Antharcite, but talked myself out of it when the dealer told me they expected to sell 50-60% of the TLs as Anthracite. So now I'm driving NBP.

 

I thought NBP would be a popular color, but mine is the only one in my area - so far. I've seen one gold, one silver and one anth since I've had mine which was back in Dec. I suppose there will be more as time goes on since this is the first year AND the touting by Consumer Report. Admit it, this is a good car and people will buy it. Just be glad that you don't have a beemer if you want to be unique becuse black beemer is just plain vanilla.

 

I one seen one in PA - a white one. I have a Redondo Red so I know I won't be seeing many like mine.

I can believe that... I have seen about 10 in the last month, and half are anthracite...

 

I'm pretty sure that the equivalent of Anthracite in the BMW color line is the most popular color for the 3 Series. It looks quite a bit similar to our Anthracite.

 

I've only seen on average one or two TL's per week here in Toronto, still not common.

 

Ive seen about 50TLs.......at the dealership ;D As for on the road, Ive seen only mine! I havent seen another 04 TL on the road Ever! I guess its cuz its Oklahoma.

 

I live and work in Northern Virginia and I don't think I've seen all that many. I still take notice whenever I see one.

 

I got one NBP/ EBY ! All NBP i see have camel interior ! Its nice to see that so many people agree on your particular taste in cars !
