Stop the Auto Lock??
If you open the doors using the remote, on the 2005 TL, the car will automatically relock the doors if you don't enter in 90 seconds.
Is there any way to reprogram/change this so the doors just stay open? The dealer says no.

Not sure that you can. I think it is supposed to be a security feature. In case you unintentionally ulnlock the car, or if you intentionally unlock the car and get distracted for a while, the car will relock and re-arm itself.
but only for the auto re-lock duration. I think it's either 30, 60 or 90 seconds.
