I do... since week 1 (Oct. 2003), I drove on Highway from LI to Manhattan...

Now, my hood has tons of them.

You may need to get some clearbra-like protection if you care so much... IMHO.

3 letters for you: PPF, see Clear Bra Test or you could get a regular OEM full nose mask or you could get repainted annually.

i have the clear bra on the hood........that part looks nice.......but, the rest of the hood has chips all over it now. damn semis with rocks falling out of their load

in my opinion the clear bra only works well for the area it is covering. i don't know if the clear bra was supposed to protect the whole hood by deflecting everything...but for the most part it doesn't

That is one reason I did not want another dark colored car. My previous Accord was dark green and it showed every tiny mark. My TL is SSM with a clear bra and still looks great. Yes, there are some chips. But they are very hard to see.

I just look at them the same way that the AKC spec's my little terrier "working" dog's breed:
"A scar, honorably incurred, will not be held against the animal".

I look at chips as Purple Hearts - if your car gets enogh of them, consider having the bumper and hood re-shot. But after a while, I just learn to live them.

Dings are different - I fix or have PDR attend to those.

Even if I would get the pen I would still apply with a toothpick... Actually, I went to the dealer and found that a SMALL bottle of touchup paint was only $5... I was pleasantly surprised...

I agree. Kinda like notches in your handle.
And living where it snows a lot, it's really tough to keep it from getting chipped. Unless you just park it from October until May.
I don't get too hung up on 'em. Touch 'em up and move on.
