Stock HID Ballast

Almost all stock HID ballasts send 35 watts to the bulb. Most of them can be modified to send more than that, here is a video made by AZDAVE (a fellow mod from HIDplanet) showing bosch boosted ballast. The OEM HID bulb can take as much as 75 watts worth of input, I dont recommend using boosted ballasts as running bulbs and ballasts at higher wattage generates a lot of heat and over time can damage the chrome reflective coating on the projector bowls.
Some of the new MB's come with variable output ballasts, in normal driving mode the ballasts send 35 watts to the bulbs but at highway speeds they increase wattage to 38 watts, doesnt seem much but you can see a bit further with that extra 3 watts.

a few cars have variable shading in the projector as well, during the day its dimmer and they run as DRLs and at night no dimming and its at full brightness. quite a few cars are coming with "ECO-friendly" D4S bulbs now too from what ive noticed. Same wattage 35.

The reason i was asking is because i want to get 2 more sets one for stock fogs and another for accord fogs, and i wanted to make sure that they are all the same wattage so they all look the same including the stock lowbeams. So i was wondering if it would matter to get 35 watt or 55 watt for my other sets. I dont want different shades, i want them to all look alike.
