Okay so I have been doing some searching on the forums and got a few handful of threads discussing the difference between SSM and ASM. Some people say they cant tell the difference and some say that they can... Basically, I could not figure out what the final consensus was, seemed like it was evenly divided.

I am looking to buy a lip spoiler for my TL and I found one for 130 which I feel is a good price but it is listed as SSM. Will it be noticable on my ASM or should I find another one that says that it is ASM?

I think it will be noticeable. SSM has more blue in it and ASM is more silverish. If you aren't looking closely you might not be able to tell. The majority of casual observers won't be able to tell but anyone who looks closely will definitely know. I personally wouldn't get one with a different color.

Thanks for the info...I don't use ebay that often, the one i found was on eBay, but have people who have purchased items on eBay had good experiences?

Maybe it will draw attention away from the bumpers that don't match the rest of the car.J/K

You might not tell in a shaded area, but trust me, when the sun is fully shining on the car, you can tell the difference from a distance.
