Yeah, that was me, and that was my girlfriend waving at you. I like to see the same color that I have. Your car looked very nice as well. Any plans on mods.. I have only done the tint, the clear bra, the cup holder CF. My next mod is the A-Spec kit, but I'm still undecided, because I don't like the front bumper kit. But I was thinking about doing the regular 07 A-Spec on the front and the Type S on the sides and rear.

if u go for the aspec kit you will have to get the type s underbody spoiler for the front too cuz the regular wont fit unless you swap your front bumper with a base tl ...

as for mods for me ... im waiting til my stock tires get worn out, and then i will probably upgrade to either axis hiros or acura a spec rims ... probably will also spray my engine cover carbon bronze pearl ...

just got my carbon bronze S type on friday, and will be tinting my windows and will be getting the clear bra.... can't wait to see how it looks with the tint..

there arent many 3g tl type s's in NOVA ... so it was kinda nice to see another one on the road

Congratzzzz....I got tint done about a week after I got my CBP Type S. It makes a big difference, the car looks much nicer. Remember to get the Moleskin. Otherwise you will have scratches all over your windows. I did the clear bra myself, it took me about three hours, and I think I did a pretty good job. Actually this was the second time doing the clear bra myself, I did it on my '06 TL first.

And yes, you don't see a lot of TLS, around NOVA, specially in the CBP.

Yeah my g/f is brunette, and yeah sometimes she drives my car, well sometimes even her twin sister drives it, well if I'm in the car of course, but my g/f drives it by herself sometimes. But I had the car all day on Thursday, so I doubt it was her.

I have a month-old CBP TL-S and have seen a few on the roads in NoVA already: A hot brunette driving one on Quaker Lane in Alexandria and a brother (30-something, business suit) over in North Arlington that I joked with about needing his car for spare parts...



I'm in Alexandria city. Mine's a lease so I don't plan on doing many mods, but I did buy a nice cable for the AUX jack (Belkin PureAV) that goes great with the black/silver interior.

Question: Can you tint a leased car? Do they make you take it off before turn-in?

I leased mine, however, I will probably end up buying it out at end-of-term unless the '09 really impresses me. I bought mine from Precision Acura in princeton (dealers may vary) and was told it should be returned to stock form, however, the window tint would be fine assuming it's legal. My front windows are 20% and NJ does not allow tint on your fronts, so I would only have to have the front tint removed when turning it in at the end of the lease. As for the badges being removed and such, I could just give them to the dealer and they will not charge me to re-install them. I was basically told that if I have intentions on buying or leasing another car through them then they will look past any modification (assuming they are all legal of course) but if it was just being turned in and if another sale was not imminent then I could be charged several $$thousand for "wear and tear" I guess it just comes down to do what you want but just don' be surprised if they want to charge you in the end. I say love the car while you have it!

Bought the Pearl White, AT. They also had the Bronze both AT. Living here in FL it gets pretty darn HOT so I went with the white. No mods yet but window tint is a must down here! Would have loved to get the 6sp but none available, Anyway got to sell a 95GT conv mustang to make room for the TL as the other side of the garage is reserved for the Harley my other toy. Looks like this forum has quite a few members That's good for advise .

Had a 7 series BMW a few years ago, but I definitely would say the TL-S is a lot more fun to drive!
