On my '06 TL it auto shifts from frist to second gear. When I was in an '07 TSX loaner it allowed me to shift from first to second, even if the rpms jumped it stayed in the gear I selected. I just wondering why the TSX is able to do this and not the TL?

I think it was some safety precaution? or to reduce overall wear and tear on those two gears..

I read something on the boards about this matter, but dont know where it is.

it used to be a saftey feature, but i guess they took it out so the car would feel more sporty

The 07 TL does NOT auto shift in SS mode like the 04-06 TL does. There was a long thread about this before and I posted a video of it bouncing off the rev-limiter in first gear.

Don't think you can.

im pretty sure you cannot change this, but i might be wrong, due to the fact that the stock 07s also have a different tranny than the 04-06 TLs.
