splash guard question?

Hello guys. Sorry for the stupid question.
I'm trying to color match my splash guard to my Satin Silver Metallic.
Where can I get the paint at, and how much should I get so it could look good.
Even if I call my loco dealer what's the quantity I should be asking for?

The way to go about this is to ditch the black ones and buy painted oem ones. Painting the old ones, may lead to chipping and paint matching issues. Look on ebay or here in the black market. A lot of guys upgrade to the aspec and sell the old ones for next to nothing.

I think it's only the 07-08 that you can get OE painted guards. If you really want to paint yours and don't have a sprayer you can either have a local shop do it or you can get a spray can from a place like http://www.paintscratch.com. You will probably also need some kind of adhesion promoter (like paintscratche's SEM Adhesion Promoter) since the guards are flexible and some clear coat. All that's going to add up to $70-$80 by the time you get it all. I was thinking about doing mine but since I have the dark blue they really don't stick out like on the lighter colors. If they have been on the car I'm not sure what the best way is to get them clean enough to paint. mmade22 is right on about the matching and chipping potential.

As mentions above, sell yours and buy the color matched ones. I bought mine from an Acura deal on eBay, $105 shipped. Look for Curry Acura in Scarsdale, NY.

You can probably get like $50-60 for yours, depending on the condition, so then the new ones in the end will be like $55. How much is paint going to cost you? Sprayer? Your time?

I'm still leaning on painting the one I already have. The one I have look new and they not scratch at all. I have an air compresor, and I could hold the spray gun from my brother in law so that's not a problem. I guess I would just need to clean, spray, paint, sand, spray some more in to it comes how I want it. I'm not cheap but I could use that extra money I save to get my ZKW.

Oh yeah my biggest dilemma is figuring out how much paint to ask for when I call the dealer.

^^Did you procure your body color paint? I have an RBP and was considering doing the same thing, but can't find any RBP on the web.
