I am looking to buy a WDP tl-s with a manual (stick shift)...i found out there are only 3 currently in all of California...does anyone have any advice or has bought a tl-s through a dealership (a dealer told me it takes 60-90 days)...also does this effect my potential to negotiate on the price (currently going for 33,300 on some websites)

Contact all 3 dealers directly. Get the best price from each. Buy the lowest price. 99% of what you need to do can be done via telephone/e-mail/fax.

Either pick or arrange shipment (say ~$400/$500) depending how close.

 

I'd be surprised they woudl order anything, I heard they stopped making Type-S already in prep for transisiton to 09 model. My guess is the entire 08 line will probably end by late June or Early July.

 

turns out they are still producing the tl type s for 2008...talked to a dealer today, he said they could "preference" the color and interior i want...it will just take about 60-90 days since they have to wait til one is made and then when it "pops" up they request it to come right to the dealer...he said i would only have to put 1k down when i make the committment and pay the rest of the down when it comes in...not a bad deal IMO

 

same deal here sockr1...i ordered mine in march and i actually put down 5k
