A-Spec Suspension Stiffer Than Type-S?

Hi,

I have an 06 TL with the A-Spec suspension on it (stock rims / tires).

A friend just got an 08 TL-S and it seems his suspension is stiff but a little softer on bumps...... he also has stock TL-S rims / tires.

I always thought A-Spec suspension would be less stiff than Type-S but his Type-S seemed less bumpy.

What do all of you think?

Is it possible my A-Spec springs got installed incorrectly? I mean it was installed at an Acura Dealership but just not sure...I guess i'm just shocked cause i heard Type-S was stiffer but it was indeed slightly softer.

Thanks.

The A-Spec is stiffer than the Type-S suspension. This is the order the suspensions go in, softest to firmest:
07+ TL Base
04-06 TL
07+ Type S
ALL ASPEC

Aspec suspension is the same one you saw in the magazines for Team Honda Research.

so in other words, it is a real track tuned suspension.

the TL-S is basically the engine, everything else was "beefed" up slightly to match the new power.

for the MAX benefit straight out of the dealer, you'd have to have TL-S A-spec

....
I don't think that's right.

The suspension was modified with custom H&R coil-overs, a Progress adjustable rear sway bar and adjustable SPC camber ball joints and links.

Having owned both, the A-Spec is stiffer, but not as refined. The A-spec would literally get airborn on a curvy road with uneven road surfaces.
The Type-S seems more planted and secure IMO, even at higher speeds.
