A-spec lips or coilovers first?

Hey my fellow TL lovers, as we all now spring is around the corner and I recently purchased new 18 inch rims and wheels. I have the option of getting the lip kit or tein street advanced coil overs before spring comes. Which do you suggest I get first?

Btw i do plan on getting both.

Drive safe.

Cheers.

A-spec first since colors are getting more and more limited. Coil overs will always be around.

i say get the lips first just because they are becoming harder to get depending on the color you need.

I was in the same situation as you a couple of weeks ago. I decided to go with coilovers first (aspec suspension). After driving it for the first time after installing them yesterday, I would definitely say get coilovers first. The handling and ride difference is like night and day.

I'll be getting the lip kit down the line, but that only changes the looks, no performance gains. With coilovers, you'll get both.

^ I don't think A-Specs are consider coilovers

OP get what you want..........flip a coin, but some members did made an excellent point with A-spec lip kit

ASpec kit all day long. Even with a drop I don't think stock TLs looks better than stock TLs with a kit.

Coils if you want both in terms of looks and performance but I chose the kit first and never looked back.

i agree with this. also if you get your kit first you can adjust yur car later to see how low you want to go with it. (if you are trying to go lowered)

^here are some thoughts on that. I am not a fan. OEM A-Spec is around $750-$800.

our car isnt even JDM. that means Mugen never made anything for the TL.

to clear up the ebay ad, it's a "mugen styled" lip kit. which is UGLY and DOES not flow with any of the TL's Sharp lines.
if you do purchase it, they are filming the rest of "Fast and the Furious 7"

Lol, what's wrong with that one? I kind of like it. It doesn't look like the lips where it looks like someone just taped on extra pieces to the car. It looks like part of the car.

I agree, it does have flow & doesn't look like a bunch of plastic glued to the oem bumper. You can, however, only rock that front bumper if you're boosted & have a huge intercooler.

I still dont think it "flows"
but if you like it, thats all that matters, and my opinion shouldnt sway you either way

I think I just like the way the acura bumper looks stock.
Sure the aspec kit adds a little flare, but is not needed.

I still havent bought the aspec kit and I dont know if i will.

There were no A-Spec lips available at any dealership in Canada so I ended up ordering coilovers first.

If you can find the A-Spec kit, I would go for that first because like others have said, they are getting harder to find.

They had the sides and the rear available, but the front was no longer available. At least the WDP for the Type-S was unavailable. I didn't ask about other colours.
