Question A-spec kit questions

Hey guys, since i've picked up the 08 type s yesterday, i'm now looking for the type s skirt package; someone recommended delray acura, but they are in the states, I was wondering if anyone knows if I can get this in Canada?

also, could the base a-spec rear fit the type s is the exhaust ports were widened? or are the bumpers too different?

and can the 04-06 base aspec front lip be modified to fit the type s?

the reason for those questions is that someone locally is selling the 04-06 a-spec kit for ~450 CAD.

Base A-Spec rear will not work.
The opening is too small for exhaust tips.

The front lip will work, with cutting of the lip around the fog lights.

As for getting it brand new in Canada for a decent price, good luck.
Dealers want like $1500 or something crazy.
That's why people drive down to the states to get it.

I got my aspec kit on my 05 tl from the states for just over a grand. When I tried to get em in canada they were asking for 1400.. yeah no thanx.

All that was left to do was swap out the lights for the tls lights and lower the car on type 1 function and forms and this tl is a beauty

thx for the advice guys, I contacted bruce at endless rpm, learned what justnspace already posted that silver is disontinued, and it would cost $375 for shipping (on the type-s aspec kit) then I have to worry about repainting and installation.. so that would be 1450 plus I was quoted around $1000 for paint and install... not looking to spend ~$2500 so I think i'll have to pass on the kit lol. anyways, i've decided to go another route, will keep you guys posted

unless you score a kit used, there's probably no other way.

I purchased my NBP A-Spec kit from Hansel Acura, they are also a vendor here. Install the kit yourself to cut back cost, it's not hard at all. Purchase some outdoor double-sided tape, a dremel, and a six-pack and it should run smoothly. At some point you might need another set of hands.

Best suggestion i can recommend to you for a local Canadian shop in Toronto is: LIP-KIT.com - Auto Body Kits and Lip Kits - Lowest Prices Online

Price was 250$ around Christmas time but is now 300$ for the entire Aspec kit which is the front, rear, and sideskirts. Have to get it painted of course though. Hope that helps, for it's slightly cheaper than what your other source is charging you!

Cheers

There's a reason for that

OP has a Type-S.
You can't get a replica Type-S lip kit anyway.

Please make sure to inspect the kit this guy is selling. I hope it's not stolen parts.

They're not stolen parts, just replica kits

OP, the side skirts will fit fine.
The front you will have to cut to fit.
The rear will not fit unless you cut the A-Spec opening bigger to accommodate the exhaust tips.

To most people, you'd be downgrading going to the base A-Spec from a Type-S.

thanks for the input so far guys, I really like the look of the 04 front lip, and modded to the type-s I believe would look great (there are pics on here of the KBP).. anyways, these guys also sell the 07-08 base a-spec front lip, but I can't decide on which I'd prefer.. I feel like the 08 lip is more subtle while the 04 lis a bit more aggressive.. I know both will take some modification... opinions? if anyone has pics of the 08 base aspec on the type s please post, haven't found any as of yet.. (granted its not hard to picture how it would look) lol thanks guys
