A-Spec Kit

Does the kit comes in the off-white color that Acura has? Because I do not want to pay for a new paint job. and how much do they cost?

Yes. The parts come painted the same color as the car, and in this case, it's White Diamond Pearl. However, many of us have noticed that the paint doesn't perfect match. So it really is up to the person. To me, I got used to it pretty quickly and it isn't all that bad. Others looked at it, didn't like the contrast, and returned the kit or sold it to another party. You would have to be the judge.

Add-on: The full kit usually ranges between $700-$900, depending if you want to purchase the rear decklid lip spoiler or not.

Since the kit comes pre-painted, you'll have to get it repainted to get a better color-match.

All Acura dealerships sell the parts, or have access to getting them. "A-spec" is a dealer installed package, which includes the body moldings you are probably seeking, 18" wheels, upgraded suspension, an exclusive steering wheel and (I believe) the choice of a deck lid or wing spoiler to finish things off. You can purchase each item individually as a part or accessory if you so choose. Just ask for the front, side and rear underbody spoilers in your choice of color.

So it'll be around 700-900 with the front, sides, and rear bumpers? are they hard to install?

^ If you contact Tim from Hondaacuraworld.com he can get you the full kit (sides, front lip, rear lip), already painted, for about $800.

The sides are easy to install, kind of pop out the old sides and pop in the new ones. The front isn't too bad also, just need to jack up the car to get under it and drill holes n stuff, and the back is a little moer work because you need to remove the rear bumper, but overall it isn't that bad. It takes a few hours for people on average. Took me like 5 hours but I blame the 100 degree heat

Pics please...I've been wondering what the rear Aspec looks like on a TL-S. Will it fit with ATLP V2 quads?

If you get the tl-s a-spec kit then the quads will fit perfectly. If you want the a-spec rear from a base TL, you'll have to modify it to fit the quads. Most people usually like the front lip on a base TL.

I hate how the dealer doesn't have pics of the rear. Thats down the line, maybe fall 2010 or spring 2011 when I do my drop. This year I got the ATLP entire set up, doing tints once it warms up, UR pulley & maybe CAI.

Yes it will, with some cutting required on the base bumper to accommodate the larger exhaust outlet ports. If you are planning on a quad exhaust upgrade in the future, plan ahead and go with the TL-S A-spec rear bumper underspoiler. I did not take that into consideration when I bought my kit, so I had to improvise with smaller diameter quad tips to fit the smaller holes.

Not sure if I'm understanding your question, but the base TL bumpers differ, depending on the year and model. The '04-'06 (UA6) models had one style, and the '07-'08 base models had a slightly altered version of the original design. The Type-S bumper was made to accommodate the OEM quad exhaust outlets. If you are planning on staying with the OEM tips (and I am assuming without going back and reading all of your previous posts that you have a base model with dual exhaust outlets), then get the base A-spec piece.

ooh. i thought the a-spec kits is for the whole third gen. didn't know they had two different models for 04-06, 07-08. so if i was to get the 04-06 a-spec, there's only a small difference between the tl-s and base one?

There a few differences between the UA6 and UA7 A-spec kits, most of which are minor but do present fitment issues if you purchase the wrong one for the wrong year. The side sills are the same throughout the whole generation as far as I can till, but the UA7 front lip is of a different design. The TL-S kit seems to have the most prevelent changes. Look through the photography section. You will find many samples of every combination. This should help you choose what is best for you.

Yes. Your best bet is to make sure that the vendor knows what year, trim and color your car is. This should get you what you are looking for.

Yooin14 thanks for the pics!!! I will save these. Looks great! I see you did the rear but not the sides nor front right? I know the entire set starts getting pricy, I might do the front first, rear and then possibly sides. Ps: I need the tints as bad as you do if not worse with a NBP...lol. That's first on the list for this Spring.

I installed the 04-06 A-spec rear and the 06-07 A-spec front on my 04 base TL. I'm trying to track down the Type-s stock sides to finish my kit off. The 06-07 A-spec front spoiler sides don't extend as far forward as they do on the original front lip. I had to sand down the edges around the fog light housing in order to make it fit my 04 base front.

Does it look off place with just rear since you dont have the rest of the kit?

What other front lip can I use on my 07 TL-S cause I dont like the one they make for the car.
