a-spec installed.......

(first, mods, this is somewhat suspension, somewhat problems with the body kit and such...so if you want to move it to the suspension part of the forum - please do so, sorry!)

Well I just got my car back from the following:

a-spec suspension
body kit
steering wheel
a-spec badge
rear sway bar
and
reattaching the headliner

First, my rattle in the headliner still exists - but it seems to be secured quite well to the roof.

Next, do the side skirts on the a-spec look ANY different from the original? They don't seem to be different - but its dark out...so maybe I just cant tell??

Then - the passanger side skirt is not attached properly - I noticed, when I open the front pass. door it scrapes against the side skirt... i took a flash light and saw where it is scraping - small scratch... what should I do? Of course, I am going to get them to attach it properly - but do I make them replace the side skirt for a small scratch?

Steering wheel - off center, to go straight - the steering wheel is slightly to the right... I will make sure they fix this also.

Other than that - for the short drive home - no difference in the feeling of the ride - straight line at least - the smooth ride is still there...but going into the turns WOW is it a hell of a lot better.

At this point, since I have only driven it 10 miles with it on there - I can't write a full review and of course I can't say I would get it installed again or not.... I hope to be able to say I would deffinately - so I will check back in monday (assuming they fix it by then) and again a review after I have driven it enough.

Pictures will come when it isnt so dark outside.

Perhaps tomorrow.

Sad part of the day - the family dog left

Congratulations, Vikram! Do post the pics asap. Also keep us posted on how the handling feels before and after. Hopefully you get the minor things fixed soon. Did you have this installed at a dealer?

I think you will like it!

According to Ron A and several other members, you are going to really like the improvements in looks and handling with the A-Spec kit.

Be sure and let us all know of your impressions when you have had a chance to ring it out.

Thanks guys . Yes, I had it installed at a dealer. I hope to be able to go in Monday and have them take care of the minor issues.

Xpditor - Yep, I bought it because of their reviews, so I hope to enjoy it. Although, I just drove home (after letting it sit outside in the cold...about 20degrees) for a few hours, and the car was vibrating a lot - is this normal? I have never experienced this in the short couple weeks of owning it....

Acuraluvr - yes, the full a-spec WITHOUT wheels and tires (I got ronjon inspyres and tires)...

Suspension, Steering Wheel, HP Brake Pads and floor mats were $1182 delivered
Body kit was $825 delivered

Install was $600

Wheels were $1110
Tires were $650

Deck lid spoiler: $200 (didn't install yet)

Hmm,

That's $4,567 including the spoiler but not its install. I'd assume the decklid install would run at least $100 so thats $4,667. Only $233 off from a full A-spec. Course, it was at a dealer. Does the Dealer offer a 12 or full 50/4 year warrantee?

That 4567 includes install.... and if i wanted the aspec wheels and tires i would have saved about 800..... you have to remember i used ronjon wheels....

thats 12 months as it wasnt part of the purchase of the car

oh also, full aspec from my local dealers is $6000 installed.....

Dude, the pics are awesome. I'm surprised your dealer wanted to charge $6k. I got the A-spec for $5k total with Black Chrome Wheels and Decklid spoiler, etc.

Pics look great man... Trust me when I say that most of us North of say... Kentucky, feel your pain when it comes to the fact that the poor TL simply can't get the constant washes and attention it deserves with the sub-zero temps outside...

Here in Pittsburgh, we have snow on the way with highs of 18F soon to follow...

MERRY XMAS!
