A-SPEC installation

I like the A-SPEC body kit and extras, but have a reservation based on seeing it in person at my local dealer. Every trim pc I've seen installed doesn't quite fit perfectly so there ends up being a small gap between the original body and the kit part.

Is this common practice for body kits (OEM or aftermarket)?

Would the body kit leave scratches on the original body over time? If so then one would have to assume if you install one your best to leave in on.

Look at these three high res pictures to see what I'm referring too. Is this to be expected or can it be installed better?

The fit on that car really sucks. I would expect much better than that. Any body kits I've seen installed at the local Acura dealership here has been installed without those gaps you can see the those pics. I would expect much better.

Thats good to hear, I was hoping that it could look flush to the body. Strange thou, the first two shot were from the same dealer the 3rd from a 2nd dealer. I was begining to think that is how they all come. Maybe I'll have to have an aftermarket install specialist intall the body kit and bypass my dealer altogether. I can likely get it cheaper from my OEM acura parts dept out of State.

I think first I'll bring it up with my dealer and se if he thinks its an acceptable install, then go from there.

I talked to a dealer in Nor Cal and they said that I could buy the car now and send it back for the A-Spec treatment after I take delivery since it will not be available for a few months. I like the brakes and the wing spoiler but am not crazy about the rest of the ground effects. The suspension upgrade sounds good but the stance of the standard model has a reasonable gap between the wheel well and the tire, especially nice with 18's which I plan on getting after market since I favor chrome.
