A-Spec front spoiler install after ClearBra
A-Spec front spoiler install after ClearBra
I need a few opinions here. I'm about to install a A-spec front, side and rear spoilers on my Type S. They been sitting on the garage for the last month and I finally have a few free days to install.
The day after I purchased the car I had a Full ClearBra installed on the Front bumper and 18" on the hood. I'm wondering if I install the front spoiler over the clearbra if the 3M tape adhere....or should I temporarily mount the spoiler, mark its location and cut/remove the clearbra below the mark? That way the 3M tape adheres to the paint instead of the Clearbra.
Either way, I'll need to have the Clearbra installed on the spoilier. Matter of fact, maybe I should take the spoiler to the Clearbra folks prior to installing on the car. Maybe the installation would be easier?

hmm that is a really good question
my guess would be, you should be safe putting it over the clearbra but dont mark my word
i like the idea you had about marking the location where it will be with the tape, and cutting it out, just a little bit and be very careful to not scratch the KBP-ness haha

I installed the A-Spec spoiler in top of my clearbra 2 years ago with no problems. I asked the clearbra installer prior to putting on the spoiler and he said it really didn't matter to him if it was on or off the car.
