sorry if this is a dumb question...

I have a 2008 base automatic TL. I realize that this car doesnt get great 0 to 60 times because it does not have much torque and is fwd. But it is still fast from a roll because it has 260 hp. So I realize that from 0 to 60 a car like a g35 coupe would beat us. But I have heard that from a roll, we would be able to take a g35 coupe (or if not win then come close). What I was wondering is that since the g35 would beat us from 0 to 60, whats makes the roll any different? The g35 still has more torque and hp and is rwd. How come we can keep up from a roll? Again sorry if this is a retarted question lol. I appreciate all comments. Thanks guys....

G35 can just get a better launch than us and that's pretty much it. The G has slightly more power but it also weighs a little bit more. So if you do it from a roll, it's going to be close, but usually the G35 would win because of its gear ratios. And really, torque is basically meaningless unless you are racing in the highest gear.
