Sorry, I don't know how to creat hyperlinks with this interface.

Horsepower to weight ratio are a factor. The TL-S also had another body riding shotgun holding the camera. Assume an extra 150 pounds for that. All the toys on the TL make it slower like power seats, navi, 8 speakers, sound dampening, sun roof, etc.

I was running consistant 9.29's in the 1/8th but couldnt get traction to save my life. Since I have been in Germany I have been laying the smack down on the autobahn. Only one car has beaten me so far, a new M5. I messed with a 650i, newer one yesterday and he couldnt pull on me at all, but he kept going when I hit the 150mph speed limiter.

Not only did he have an extra person in the car, he was no light weight himself! And yes, the TL is a fat heffer when it comes to dragstrip. The fwd can be over come with a stiff suspension set up and some sticky tires. As for now the 6MT is limited to the stock clutch for most, which is not the greatest grabing clutch in the world. "Luxury" shift feel!! It really sucks. I want a stage 3 clutch with a lightweight flywheel!!!! grab baby, grab.

The Type S is not that quick at the drag strip. It has alot of weight plus the additional person filming in the car. The Civic Si is a much lighter car and at 197hp vs 258hp isn't all that bad being that much lighter.
But in most clips, it does seem like the race against all those cars are fairly close. You can tell from the burnt out in the beginning that the driver is terrible at drag racing....
Good find though!

I wonder how an auto TL-S would fair against that guy. Doesn't seem like he really knows when to shift... you can hear the car hit the rev limiter in a few clips.

lmfao... why do you need to throw the stick and bounce yourself back?
Poor Type S, a spanking new 2007 and already been abused like that at the track....

THIS IS A FACT!!! My nephew has a new 07 Si. After our cars were broken in we raced twice. I have an 07 TL-S Automatic. First race I left the trac control on. I beat him about 4 car lengths from 0-80. With my trac control off I kicked his ASS! I found out I needed the RPM's like a manual, so smokin my tires and having the rev's go up quicker I kicked his ASS!!!

How do you use both feet with the automatic? What did you mean earlier when you said you needed the RPMs like a manual? Also, you stated you raced after your cars were broken in, you mind if I ask what your brake in period was or how long?

About 1,000 miles on the break-in. YES the 07 TL-S will beat an 07 Si at any time.
The trac control kind of boggs the car on take off. Without it the car rev's A.S.A.P. getting the rpm's up for torque and HP

Sure one lane might be better then the other, but outside temp, altitude, humidity are the same no matter where you are. Get your tires warmed up, lower air pressure, turn trac control OFF and use both feet with the automatic, DON'T shift the Auto, let the trans do the work
