Some A-Hole stole my tire air cap

I noticed today some Asshole took all of my air cap on my tire. Where can i get the air cap? From what i know, type S air cap looks different from standard automobile air cap. I don't want to steal someone else's type S tire air cap. How much do they run if i was to purchase them at a dealer?

I guess it's the princible of it. I'd be pissed too! I think the Type-S caps are a silver color. Either check with the dealership or just pick up some black ones and spray paint them silver.

I got silver low profile caps from my local tire shop when I brought in the tire to be sealed - my contractors insisted on parking in the driveway, and happen to be droppin' nails everywhere!

Anyhow, I just asked the tire guy, and he just gave them away.

Just make certain the replacements have a seal inside the cap, if not, water can penetrate and cause problems with the TPMS.

Do what I do....use a socket wrench and hand tighten the valve cap. Tight it enough where it is hard to unscrew by hand. But you will always need to carry a socket wrench in your car. Better that getting it stolen.

I would have... Not really, that was funny. andrew is right though, you can go to any auto part store and buy them.

Sucks =
Easy fix =

Rig them up to your battery somehow so next time some clown tries to steal them, ZAP! the next thing he'll be stealing is burn cream.

I just went to Wally World up here in the auto section and they have chromed metal ones for $4 a set of 4 .. then when you put them on they are hex head so do like he ^^^ did .. I just use a small cresent wrench to tighten/loosen them .. Its in the center armrest storrage all the time.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get green caps. I have no idea why those even exist and why dealers/mechanics/car shops always seem to supply those.
