Well as some of you may know I posted my car for sale here on the BM and ended up selling it on Craigslist (i kept the 19's) and a fellow from North Dakota Drove to Wisconsin to pick up my first baby The car has treated my well over the years, and this forum board has been a valuable tool to say the least. I sold my Acura because i just wanted something new and different, and to get decent money for a good down payment on my next car. Here is a picture of my Acura... FYI i encouraged the new buyer to introduce himself here and share his experience picking up the new car. Hopefully he does so i can see my Acura grow up

So as of now I'm car pooling with the wifey until i find my next ride. I pretty much have my heart set on a 2013 White Lexus GS 350 F Sport, which i would drop and add full exhaust along with some other minor body modifications. I would like to look for my next car to look like this.

I may also consider a 2011 + Lexus IS-F im looking to spend around 40k i just need to find the right one. Please help!

Sorry to see the TL go

Personally, the IS-F is too small, although that V8 would be tempting

That GS looks like it could be a batmobile.

I do like the new Lexus line, definitely a nice direction to go. Many people scoff at the predator family grill, but I think overall they look pretty great, and the one you posted is awesome!

You'll have to let us know if you miss the type s.

Only once? How about 7? Haha

Maybe I'm the minority here but I think that white GS pictured above is a bit over the top. Just too much body kit and fender flaring and stuff for my liking. I would love a bone stock GS F sport though that's for sure. Btw love all the new Lexus vehicles and great choice on the GS F sport, although I'm not sure if I have seen any clean low mileage accident free ones for 40k yet. I think I saw a salvaged title one listed at 38k recently.

My first 4 daily drivers were V8's, I want my LS2 back. Still have a V8 car but it's too modified to commute with.

The new Lexus' look pretty nice but the front bumper is a little much on that one...

Good luck OP! Your former TL looked great. I like that F Sport too but I agree with JS, that one pictured is a little over the top.

My first car was a '67 Olds 442 with a big V8...got like 9 miles to the gallon, but then gas was only 30 cents a gallon. The car lasted about 6 months until I missed a shift and blew the motor. I have a V8 now though, 03 Durango, but its a dog.

I vote for GS 350 F-Sport
The IS is just tooooooo small for me. Can't fit anybody in those back seats.

Either way, you'll be very happy
Congrats. Car shopping is fun. It's the haggling that sucks...

When you say the back seat is too small are you referring to the previous IS or the current 2014 IS?

The reason I ask is because supposedly the new IS grew in size and the rear seats are supposed to have more room compared to the previous generation.

I agree that the 2G IS has small rear seats

GS350 F Sport looks great and handles well, but I wouldn't spend that much for a car that wasn't much better than the current car I'm driving.

If it were my money, and it's not, I'd be in a lightly used CTS VSport or V. I'd also consider an ATS 2.0T for half the price. A couple of shops have the 2.0T in the high 12s. ATS-V (Vsport) is also coming to market soon, something to consider as well.

IS-F is a great car, pretty much bulletproof from what I hear, but it is indeed a tiny car. I've had seat time in it and it feels fucking great, but it's not a practical saloon in my book. Also, if you really want the F, I'd wait until the new gen / RCF comes to market, should be a big price drop on the current gen.

Also something to consider, for 35k you can get a lightly used Charger SRT8.

I love IS-F, i think they look so aggressive, cept im an ///m fan... as for the GS350 i think those cars look amazing now, and the sound they make with some simple exhaust mods sounds godly and racy. Im sure youll make a good choice no matter what your last car looks very clean. Goodluck with whatever you choose, dont be a stranger around these parts.
