SoCal/LA area Tint recommendation?

Hi folks,

I'm hoping I can get some feedback on:

1) A tint shop you'd highly recommend in LA area.

2) Which tint you guys choose to go with?

Would I have to stay away from metallic tint (to avoid interference with the antenna on the rear window)?

Back when I use to have my '93 Accord, I went with FormulaONE tint http://www.formulaone.com/ and I thought it was pretty good. I also understand that the weather sealing can sometimes scratch the tint so I should look into something like the moleskin?

I'd greatly appreciate any advice/recommendations you can offer.

Wow, 26 reviews on Yelp and all good. Thanks for the heads up on this shop! It's a drive but sounds like it'd be worth it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm fortunate enough to not have to work on Mondays so I should be alright.

Anyone know if Moleskin is recommended? Preferred? or case-by-case basis?

Alrightie then. If it's highly recommended, then I might as well do it right. Moleskin ordered.

Thanks again.

just took my car in to california tint about 1 1/2 months ago to get my windows tinted and they did an awesome job! unfortunately i was one of those guys who decided to take my chances and laid off on the moleskin and ended having my front 2 windows with couple scratches within that month. took my car back in last week to get mole skin on all four windows.

I've had my windows tinted without the moleskin for three months now, and I don't see any scratches.

How bad are the scratches? Are they very visible?

Had my baby done at CA Tint about 2 months ago.
Had 'em add the moleskin to all four doors. It was only $10. per door extra!
