Hey guys, so here I was thinking I was going to be able to order a 08 ASM A Spec kit for my Type S, then all of a sudden I saw a refund on my account from CurryAcuraParts.Com...looks like it was too good to be true. Is there anywhere I will be able to locate an A-Spec kit? or am I SOL

You'll have to get it painted, unless someone else is selling their kit.

 

Really? The silver type S kit is discontinued? I thought only certain 04-06 ones were discontinued. I guess time is moving by quickly!

 

Nope,lots of colors are discontinued now, including many 07/08 colors. Its too bad..but they are getting older now.

buy any kit and repaint it
look for one in the black market or post in the black market as WTB
check other online sites

 

Wow I sniped mine just a short time ago. Had to get ASM sides because CBP sides were discontinued. Got them painted as well.

It's not a bad excuse either to put your car in the shop and fix a few other minor things while it's in there such as PDR/chips/poorly fitting panels due to damaged spacers etc.

 

I bought w/e color that was available and had it painted.

 

Yeah ASM is discontinued and has been for a while. You'll have to buy another colour and get it painted. More money that way, but that's just the way it is.

 

Thanks for your help everybody, I'm going to order one unpainted from one of the members on here that does group buys, than drop a little bit to get it painted, from you guys that have had it painted already, how much did it cost you?

I wonder if any dealers would have one sitting. I may have to hunt one down for my RL as my source in Japan can't find all the pieces for the Mugen kit I want. My Acura dealer has the side underbody in my color, B92P and the rear but not the front. They will give me a deal for buying what they have. Calling around may be the way to go.
