So Cal tint recommendations?

I'm looking for recommendations for:

1) a good tint shop
2) what kind of tint to get to prevent interference with the nav/gps.

Thanks.

If you are near Woodland Hills/Winnetka, i had my tints done by a shop on Ventura Blvd, they did an awesome job (front sides/rear sides/rear), for $150.

If you want the address, i can look it up.

I know Tint Pros use FormulaOne tints. What kind of prices do they charge?

MisterYu,

I asked the same question in this thread:

http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84206

or the summary is basically go to A Terrific Tint in Mission Viejo, 949-365-9092. Several people on the board have gone there and everyone (including me) has been pleased with the results.

I went 35% all around with 15% in back. Hope that helps.

I just got a quote from Steves professional tinting in Upland. The cost is $349 for Formula One Pinnacle film. That includes installation of moleskin as well. A bit pricey but I have an appointment to get it done next week

Tint Pros website
http://www.thetintpros.com/index.shtml

Tint Pros coupon: $159 w/ FormulaOne (too good to be true?)
http://www.thetintpros.com/coupon.shtml

I'll be calling to verify this later and will update.

A Terrific

I Called a terrific tint in mission viejo but they only use llumar which is metallic, they don't have the ceramic based formula one tint.

The navi models will have problems with the metallic tint.

i am going to call tint pros in HB next.

$159 would be an awesome price but I doubt its for the FormulaOne Pinnacle series film.

I called Tint Pros and the $159 is not for FormulaOne Pinnacle series. They were busy and I wasn't able to get a quote and they said they would call me back. I'll post when I get a quote.

The Tint Pros in HB

Just called the Tint pros in HB. They told me $249 for the Classic series Formula one and wouldn't give me a quote for the "Pinnacle" series over the phone. They also said $200 for the moleskin install (this is absurd!)

I recently had my TL done in FormulaOne Pinnacle 35 all around at Steves Tint in Upland. $349 for tint and felt all the way around.

Ya, i got my TSX tinted at Tint pros yesterday for 249 plus tax for the Formula One Classic series tint. And yes, they offered me $50 bucks a door to install the moleskin. I am very happy with the tint, but i think i will go elsewhere to install the moleskin. Any recomendations on shops that can install the moleskin for a reasonable price even though I got my tint done elsewhere?

Try www.envisagedesignlabs.com located in Torrance.

Here is a quote for a clearbra insallation, but they do window tints too. They work with Window tints etc. and use Madico Charcoal film for cars w/ navigation.

Hood,Fndr,Mir Kit $220.00
Bumper Kit $260.00
Tax $ 42.07

Installation $190.00
-------------------------------
Total $742.02

- Comes with 60 Day warranty on the Installation/Film.
- 5 Year Warranty on the Film through the manufacturer.

I got both of my cars done at Sun Tamers in Laguna Niguel. About $200 to do all 5 windows, and he does a great job with a lifetime warranty.

Did you get formula one? is it the "pinnacle" series, or do they have it?
