Snow + Mudflaps = Ice Turds
The mud flaps on the TL seem to encourage very large ice/slush/snow lumps behind the wheels. I can't kick the turds off because I don’t want to loosen or damage the flaps...that ice/slush/snow really gets wedged in there.
Are there any 3rd Pary mud flaps available that don't have this problem?

yeah, it makes horrible noises when it's caught up in the wheelwells and then you get gas (lowering the car on it's suspension).
i don't believe there are any aftermarket flaps that would fit properly and actually make it through a snowstorm. just leave the turds; they'll drop off eventually.

Actually, we call 'em "snow boogers"
Actually, we call 'em "snow boogers" in my house. Especially the ones that drop off of other cars and slide on down the highway at 60 MPH.
Seriously, a light tap on the flaps with my toes, just prior to pulling in the garage, is always what I have done with all my past car. As long as you are gentle then nothing bad should happen. That way there isn't sand and salt all over your scraper fro when you need it on your car's glass. The drawback is the big pile-o-"boogers" on your driveway and the sand pile that results in the spring.

In my previous cars, I too used a light kick to dislodge the boogers.
But, the problem is in the design of the mud flaps. They've got a bunch of recessed cavities facing the tire that hang on to the booger like a crack whore hangs on to her baby when social services tries to take it away.
I was naively hoping there was another model available with a smooth inside.

-It doesn't stop the ice from forming (whereas a smooth surfaced mud flap would shed the ice while driving)
However, thank you for your valuable input. I've forwarded it on to your bosses so they may appreciate your contributions.
