Smooth like butter at 140MPH...
Couldn't believe how smooth the new TL was at 140 MPH, I’ve had my 95 Vette up to this speed but thought it was a little to fast so I let up. This thing still wanted more and only felt like it was going 100. Don’t get me wrong, I know it is not very safe but sometimes you just have to see what something has. This thing definitely has it and more. Scary. Anyone else take it up there

The picture qas taken at 153 mph....kind of blurry too because it was a picture taken from a paper photo with a digital camera

I was quite impressed with the high speed stability on my TL test drive last night. Got onto the highway and before I knew it I was doing 200Km/h (124mph). And the scary thing? It didn't feel that fast at all!
I was looking at the road mostly and then I stared down at the gauge and saw the needle go past the 200 mark. Damn! This thing needs a heads-up speedo because it's just screaming for a speeding ticket.
"I'm sorry officer, I though I was only doing 50Mph." seems like a valid defense in this thing because it's true.

Here's a clearer picture from a G35 that isn't even broken in yet Gotta love pocket sized digital cameras. And to make this post on-topic the G35 and my wife's TL are both equally smooth at speed. The TL is perhaps a little quieter at the top too

Just curious, did you ever pull over the car running so fast or reckless? What penalities will they usually get?

Gotta love Nevada
Somewhere in Nevada (US-50)...
Don't worry guys. I was with my friend on a road trip from NorCal to Denver, CO. It was boring as heck. For miles, there was literally NO ONE around on the two land highway. And from the lighting on the picture, you can tell it was a sunny, cloudless day. I got up to maybe 143...have it on video. I was flying around the Nevada desert like a madman. Weeee.... (good thing no Nevada Highway Patrol flying around with me ) When I get the TL (the Accord will probably be replaced in 5 yrs or so, just in time to get a 2007 certified pre-owned 6-speed) I will for sure revisit Nevada. I highly recommend the state for fast cruising (not so much for twisties though).

6G Accord isnt doing a legitimate 143mph without some good mods. I got my Maxima SE up to 145mph on a relatively clear NJ Turnpike in a head-to-head with a TL-S.
