Small scuff/scratch

Well I went out to my AT/Anthracite/gray this morning and saw a 6 inch scratch/scuff on the driver side quarter-panel. I can see it but when I run my nail over it I can't feel it :whew:

Anyway, I can't seem to get it off with my fingernail so it's kinda like a scratch or a scuff...not sure which. So somehow I need to buff it out with some sort of light compound or something.

Any thoughts on a good product for this type of job? As always, thanks. This board rocks!

Go to your local auto parts store, like Autozone or Pep boys. Try the 3M rubbing compound or just try Meguiar's scratch removal. A polish could also do the job. Meguiar's NXT wax works also.

It's good that you can't feel it with your nail. Can you post some pics?

FISHACURA- you know what's good for those scratches you can't feel but can see? "NO. 7" compound. They have 3 kinds. Clearcoat, which is a liquid that removes scratches you can see but can't feel, then polishing compound that's a paste and removes deeper scratches, and rubbing compound which shouldn't even be used on our new cars....it's about 2 bucks at any SEARS hardware or a kmart, walmart...try it out. (wax after doing it). hope this helps. -shawn
