Single inlet quad tips?

I'm thinking about biting the bullet and ordering the type s aspec rear lip for my 08 base because the base lip is discontinued in my color (painting is not an option). I would have to get quad tips, so does anyone have any suggestions for quad tips? pics would be appreciated!

I found these but the picture isn't very good.

Oh and also, all of the threads i've found about the type s rear lip on the base rear bumper have been for the 04-06 models where the rear insert (black thing between the exhaust tips) isn't there, so they cut the entire bumper. Is it different for the 07-08?

I did the same thing and I believe you can just cut the exhaust openings on your base bumper out more and it will fit. I ended up hacking mine up more then I nedded to and had to make a custom garnish. Since the 07/08s already have the horizontal garnish there I think you can leave that part alone that way you wont have an open void. I got some chrome ebay tips when I did mine. They have held up great after 2 years but the ones you posted are nice.

Would you mind posting some pics? So I only have to cut enough to match the exhaust gaps in the type s aspec lip? do you know what tips you got? The ones I posted look nice but they are very expensive for just tips.

Unfortunately I dident take any pics during the install, but I used a dremel to do the cutting while following the diy here. I dont remember the ebay seller I got the tips from (I did this 2 years ago) I think they were around $70. I just googled the demensions/measurements I wanted. The type s aspec has 8' wide exhaust openings. I can post a pic from under the car so you can see where I cut if that helps, but its just like the diy.

I just went through this myself. The base bumper on the 07-08 is basically the base bumper on the 04-06, only with a rectangular vent in the center. The exhaust openings on this bumper are small, and you can't put a Type-S lip without cutting the bumper at the exhaust cutouts and in the middle. In the DIY for the mod, most folks just cut all the way across, from one exhaust cutout (and slightly beyond on both sides) to the other. This is the 07-08 base bumper:

The Type-S rear underspoiler only installs with no modification onto the Type-S rear bumper shown below:

This pic above has no underspoiler, it's a different bumper, with a different part number. The exhaust openings are also wider so you don't have to cut anything.

So, going back to your OP, your link is for the 3.5" tips I believe, which will require cutting a base bumper no matter what, lip or no lip. I bought the 3" SoCal tips here http://www.socal-autosports.com/3-po...d-exhaust-tips and these fit a base bumper without cutting. Some folks might have had to trim the garnish, some did not. The other difference is whether the outlets are staggered or not, which I personally prefer as it follows the bumper a little better.

I highly encourage embracing the beauty that was the 2004 original TL exhaust tip styling. 2nd to none...

I went as far as trying to duplicate it on my RV6.
