Silly M35 ..

Had a litte race on the way home from work today.

I was approaching a 2 lane on-ramp to get onto the 5 freeway and I notice there was a bus coming up on my left in the car pool lane. There are traffic signals turned on which would allow 2 cars at a time. Being in the right lane, my signal turns green and I get going behind the bus.

There were 2 kids in an M35 behind the bus trying to squeeze in and sure enough they pull in front of me. I honk at him and I knew he was itching to get over judging by the friendly hand gesture he gave me and how closely he was following the bus with his signal on.

I drop to 2nd @ 40mph and we both floor it at the same time. I left him pretty good, 3.5 - 4 car lengths @ 90mph I'd say.

My car hasn't been washed for a couple weeks and it just started making this obnoxious hissing / scraping sound from my rear rotor grinding on the dust shield. My car may appear & sound old, but it still moves

I've had my Accord for about 2 years now, haven't had my TL for about 3.

Pretty much the same car except with a 3rd petal .. no LSD tho .

LOL, sorry if I am wrong since I cannot imagine how the traffic was but weren't you supposed to yield anyway? Secondly, I know the M35 is pork comparing to the G35 but how did you know he went WOT and you dusted him 3-4 car lengths?

Traffic was pretty clear 2 lanes over from where we were both coming in, more than enough room for a 40 - 100 pull.

As soon as he saw me throw on my signal and take the lane next to him, I heard his car go WOT (I always drive with my windows down) and I passed him without much of an issue.. I started in 2nd @ 40 - 45mph with VSA off.

I've edged cars that trap 98 - 99mph with less mods than I have now ... I don't think it sounds too farfetched considering his car does 95mph on a good day with no passengers?

^ We're still in the planning stages, it will be soon though .. I promise. The GoPro videos should be worth it

I bought a pair of Bridgestone RE070 summer tires on Craigslist for $90, 75% tread left .. my RPF1s will be back on this weekend
